Call me paranoid or way off the beam but are NZTR running an agenda to prevent Chris from overhauling David Walsh’s record of winning rides?

Your a conspiracy theorist Gube, im sure you also believe Coranovirus translates to 1 in 70 who inherit it, resulting in 1 sick 80 year immunocompromised  victim. As we know our elderly are the best there is and not one wants others to risk to be vaccinated to protect their fragility.  No shit vaccine will help anybody let alone our lovely frail...... covid 19 is NOT  Coronaviruse so why are they saying so.

Plandemic without doubt. Wake up people

On today’s ZB 8.30am News Chris is seeking legal advice and consulting a doctor who specialises in alcohol problems in an effort to get his licence back. He needs eight more wins to eclipse David Walsh’s record win total. According to NZTR and the RIU he is not at present “fit for purpose” to hold a Jockey’s Licence. Seems like a Mexican standoff. I hope it can be resolved sooner rather than later.

Jeez...if he's not fit, he'll have plenty of company.

Why doesn't Chris get Winston to represent him?

Winston apparently trained as a lawyer but hasn't practiced for over forty years, if ever. He also trained as a teacher which he uses as a knowledge back-up but apparently only taught primary school for a short time. Would his representation be of much value? I don't know CWJ but fully acknowledge his ability and horsemanship, and also his former problems with the demon drink. It has already been asked here 'if he was wasting and going without food, why did he have a few beers the night before riding?' Only he can answer this question. And while the rules and the ruling in this instance have come under strong criticism, did anyone complain when this rule was initially invoked? Answer: No! The criticism has only come when the rule has been enforced.

Appalling behaviour really from NZTR. Talk about shoot yourself in the foot. For a dysfunctional and poorly run industry here they are with a superstar in their midst and they have never made the most of it. NZTR may not miss Chris when he has gone, but I'm sure many others will.

If it was any of the more favoured jockeys going for that record I'm sure there would be media coverage all over it. I just hope he finally cracks it at a track that actually appreciates him.

I can't help thinking Kiwi Ida would have done a lot better on its North island tour if CWJ had been able to ride her. She put up some massive runs with no luck.

Many top line sport stars who have personal demons never appear in the spotlight for their abilities as much as they do for their problems and off field issues . It is the nature of the modern social media world unfortunately .

I just don't follow - he admitted the breach; a penalty was handed down (and to my knowledge not appealed by either side at the time); the penalty has been served... so what's the hold up?  Has there been an incident since the penalty that has aggravated matters?  Because everything that came before - all the good and less good about CWJ - it was all known when they determined the penalty...
