    • Feast to famine….a few placings and not a winner all day.. Terrible track, hard to make ground. Expect a few form reversals next time.
    • Leap to Fame is unbelievable and should win it for fun, but does that marble make it slightly tricky? If the others drop back and think they can catch him they are no chance, so surely the likes of Petes Said So / Catch A Wave come out with their arses alight and possibly put him 3 deep? LTF has high speed too of course, but for memory not so much in the first 400? I guess Dixon will have him pretty keyed up to avoid such a happening though.
    • I have one weanling mixed unregistered at the moment, another foal due late August . I would have bred more the 2 past seasons if the NZ Bred bonus was intact. A filly that I bred that was eligible for that scheme went to the workouts earlier this month , leased, but now no 10% as when it was leased it was covered .
    • Blue, Cox said in an interview for AusHarness, 'that he (Pinseeker) was kickin the wheels, somethin he's done before just not this bad' doh, if he's done it before and you know it, why not move his cart? I mean he aint exactly a small horse he's good size; that aside I like Pinseeker, I think he's gutsy sort of dude and I hope he does come back better.... 🤗 Janitor mate, Bet N Win off front again and Oscar off outside his favoured spot reckon we can work with that 🤗 Cheers Iraklis
    • This one in strategic objective 2 looks very expensive to obtain and will no doubt cost huge money to implement the inevitable recommendations: Is of very questionable long term value and of more importance, will never enhance a venue ROI: AND I wonder who will pay!  https://www.toitu.co.nz/solutions/ Would seem to therefore be at cross purposes with this line in strategic objective 3 Complete a full venue utilisation and ROI audit across all clubs by 2026. (Not stated is a benchmark, bottom line, audit objective or consequence for not meeting it)  It is very clear to me that hidden in the small print of all this corporate double speak is the real objective: A significant reduction in the number of clubs, a wholesale sell off of landed assets and the reason Bill Birnie created the "advisory" ginger group, primarily made up of large breeders/land holders, auctioneers and an Australian domiciled trainer; Definition: "Ginger groups are not typically seeking to overthrow the organisation or create a separate entity. Instead, they aim to revitalise it by advocating for specific policy changes, new approaches, or the replacement of certain office-holders"  This again is right out of Birnie's mid eighties free market play book where influence, direction and outcomes are tightly directed by a few powerful, unaccountable vested interests.  In relation to strategic objective 1: Both ATR and WRC better hope that the residential monstrosities lining their course perimeters do not become the home of animal cruelty or anti horse racing activists.
    • Unfortunately not that great especially when they do not have their own track manager…but at least their mates from Ellerslie help them. and lets jnot forget they were abandoned last time they races because of an issue around the crossing
    • Oscar has nothing to prove. He's served a few mares so possibly his mind isn't quite on the job now. I thought I hear JC say Pinseeker wore a spreader and this trip was a learning curve on Aussie tracks. May be a better horse next year.
    • 7kgs difference. Weight will stop a train. But full marks to both, one for leading all the way and the other for making him work for it.
    • My comment was purely tongue in cheek.
