Why do you insist on making everything to be about identities?

Because you are being dishonest and you do not tell anyone you have many different profiles...I know you need to try to generate traffic..

It only appeared after a horse stepped in it.

This is the second time in recent years that a meeting has been called off because of a hole in the track. The previous occasion the hole was around the 600m mark and this time about the 500.

The track side road entrance runs adjacent to this area, and I am speculating here but could there be vandalism? Both of these issues have been on the Masterton race day

Last year there was $4.9m allocated.  To quote the NZTR 2024 Annual Report - Only $200k was capex - the rest went on AWT maintenance and the Awapuni Upgrade.  The previous four years the fund averaged $1m per annum - no where near enough.

It's a renovation fund not a reconstruction fund so why do you think it's not enough for work on racing surface.

i have walked Pukekohe pre race during Winter and was surprised to see how bad the surface looked at the end of the back straight and by how sharp that corner actually was compared to how it viewed on TV.....ITS THE NATURE OF ALL TURF SURFACES AND THE RESOURCES CERTAIN CLUBS HAVE AT THEIR DISPOSAL....All the money is going into traffic management and security so there is no money for the real neccessities these days...".look it T8 ,your going to be late"... Health and Safety is the biggestand most expensive  handbrake we have ever seen in this Country

That's not correct.  It's essentially both. In the annual accounts it is coded Infrastructure Expenditure.

Quote:  "NZTR track infrastructure spend is the amount that NZTR is directly spending on supporting Clubs to improve and maintain their tracks to support track sustainability long-term.  This is an output measure as NZTR controls its budget and expenditure.  The expenditure excluded amounts spent directly by Clubs on their tracks and infrastructure."

So in 2024 from the accounts.

Track management $187k (AWT maintenance)

Track improvements $79k

Awapuni construction $4.4m.

There was another $546k allocated to Track and surface maintenance programme.

$10.5m is in the Infrastructure Reserve account but that only seems to keep growing.

Don't you think it's a bit weird that a rabbit digs a deep hole in the middle of a track?  Especially when there would have been a lot of activity on the track during the week.

No, I have seen plenty of Rabbits there over the yrs. What activity are you referring to?  No one trains there now do they?  & besides Rabbits are mostly active at dusk when there wouldn’t be anyone near there.

And here was me singing the praises of the young lady caretaker after the previous meeting.

It is my honest opinion that the people in charge of setting the criteria on how a track is to be presented on a race day, have put in place a policy that is not realistically achievable, particularly when considering our weather patterns.

Obviously, you didn't read first comment submitted as it was to maintenance not reconstruction or infrastructure jobs, so read context before being know all

You still fail to get the concept of the comment to which I replied too. You are the one trying to show where in the report it is funded.

I would not waste time trying to debate him...he is a stirrer nothing more.

Taupo trials abandoned today. Horse slipped in Heat 2

We are quickly becoming a laughing stock.

Still, massive stakes on offer so all good. We are going to see the depressing sight again on Saturday of massive stakes at Trentham and multiple group races in front of about 23 spectators.

And they now have had to transfer Woodville to Hawera as Woodville is at risk of being too firm...what an absolute joke, one of the best tracks around and sadly needed, why the hell they never put irrigation in there is beyond me...morons running the asylum unfortunately, but yet their costs to run the train wreck just grow and grow...hopeless and fast losing fait any semblance of a future.

As I said earlier - a lack of investment in the right infrastructure.  Chickens roosting.

I remember , as yourself and many others will , when Woodville had a 2 day meeting at the beginning of January every year , used to be their cup meeting .

So what's changed ????
