  1. Didn't look what was coming up, oh well if they have that opportunity now of trialling somewhere else good luck to them having the punt going to Ellerslie
  2. I thought they were kidding about the 100 maximum, no Te Akau, Pike or Forsman, but still some are desperate obviously to get a trial on a grass track
  3. Trials on Monday. These trials are restricted to a maximum of 100 horses are they kidding who would want to be seriously take a horse to them. They should be free for start off's to risk it. I realise it's hard to get trials on a grass surface in the north but I think that's a big punt. That's just me I'm not sure what the majority are thinking.
  4. Yes a bit of cut and paste for the last 5 years
  5. As I said when the date was released its a great concept for NZ racing but why would you have it the same weekend as either the Australian or Randwick Guinea's if you are wanting a top class field for the event.
  6. I don't know what anyone else thinks but surely the big issue is what's going to happen with all of these book 2 and similar horses now there's no Singapore and Macau. I noticed 2 have been sold to China, nothing to Malaysia or Korea the only markets for these horses. I'm sure also it must affect the owners and trainers who have these particular type of horses and relied on selling them through trials and keeping themselves afloat by doing so. What's going to happen now? Or am I over exaggerating it ..
  7. It's going to solely based at Ellerslie I think isn't it.
  8. That's great idea about having a 1500m 3yo worth that much but wtf there's 12months still in a year I think. Why would you have it in the first week of march that is the most ridiculous dumb arse idea when there's already a Australian Guinea's and Randwick Guinea's at the same time and that is already proven to be detrimental to racing so why have another 3yo feature at exactly the same time.
  9. Beaten 0.2l ☹ 1kg less and he wins ? a kilo is a lot with his racing style
  10. Totally agree he's a good operator it's without a doubt a planned strategy. He's not getting this big new stable complex just to have kiwi horse's He's ourt there to get the Australian product which suits there racing environment and having imperatriz in the stables is going to be a tick attracting new owners. It's a big punt spending millions at the moment but good on him he's got the dough and will get good backing as well.
  11. McDonald, Kah and Shinn doesn't get much better than that... Entain will be loving this, get ready for the hype on this.. Great for NZ racing it needs it..
  12. WOW!! just saw Golden Sixty win the Hong Kong Mile outstanding win. Racing and Sports has the live coverage and its top class with the great commentators in the lead up to the races Gotta love the MC/Presenter at the trophy presentations she gets very excited and she's so good doing the English/Chinese commentary so quickly puts the presentations in OZ and NZ to shame not that it takes much haha Romantic Warrior racing in about 10 minutes get on now if you really love your horse racing
  13. It's great having entain doing this with the prizemoney but the locals won't be happy about the incentives being paid to get the Australian horses brought in. But it's all about the $ now being invested with them so it's a win win thing for racing.
  14. Entain PR machine are doing this for a reason this will be one of the biggest turnover days in NZ racing you watch The press you are going to see with this will be full on tv advertising the lot
