    • Oh well the on course turnover will tell the story. For many years now the Tauherenikau, Waitangi Day on course turnover has been far greater than Te Rapa Group One day.
    • Facebook  post FROM TRACKSIDE  LEGARTO  takes his 2nd gq1 herbi dyke , with Opie aboard the mare.   Think it doesn’t  stop at rodley
    • I'm so glad to see Legarto back to her brilliant best today. Always been an outstanding mare for outstanding trainer's. Great moment all round.
    • SNM I will put up $300 you split it as you wish across the comps.
    • Here we go , Spectacular opening at the San siro .
    • No sign of any Grand Tour anything that I saw. It's a cavernous facility for any modern day racing except Cup Day. But I otherwise have to disagree having been there today myself. It was a great crowd on course actually, not huge, but thousands, almost didn't get a park, could barely see a couple of races as the public stand was very close to full, ppl looking around for any spare seats. Not sure why that wasn't shown, plenty of these extra trackside camera operators they have now right there, what a waste of all that footage if so. Hot and windy so pressumably members down the other end preferred staying inside in air con. Agree the lawn area was pretty sparsely populated, though I went down and came back as no seats out of the sun there, too hot and I preferred to mingle with the crowd where there was more atmosphere. It's not actually self evident how to get down that end of the course either, it's quite a wander down the back, probably doesn't help. Ppl like the public stand as you can properly see the finish line too. I thought the club would be very pleased with the turnout actually. Shame it didn't show. Certainly the busiest of at least 3 Legends Days I have been on course for by some margin, plenty of hum and enthusiasm for the standard of racing!
    • Two groups to be drawn and published on Tuesday or Wednesday. At the end of 7 weeks of pool play the top 4 pairs in each group will progress to the Championship quarter-finals.  Teams placed 5-8 in each group will progress to the Plate quarter-finals.  Remaining teams will play-off for the Bowl.
    • Format will be the same as in previous Pairs comps. 12 races, in each race you can either pick two horses ($10 each way on both plus $2 quinella) or you can pick one horse and have $20 each way on it (and forego the quinella). In each Pair vs Pair match during pool play there will be 5 points split between the two pairs and each pair can earn a bonus point, meaning a maximum of 6 points to be earned by either pair. The 5 points are from the following match-ups - each player plays both players in the opposing team: Team A Player 1 vs Team B Player 1 Team A Player 1 vs Team B Player 2 Team A Player 2 vs Team B Player 1 Team A Player 2 vs Team B Player 2 Highest pair aggregate and a bonus point if your pair earns $1,200 or more. Final group standings will be determined by total points earned, and if total points are tied then by total dollars earned.
    • He quite often gets mixed up with the names but it is a hard job with more than 10 horses in the race... No excuse for only four horses though.
    • 14 pairs and 10 individuals for a total of 38.  Two more to make 40 would be perfect. Peter RS & Lucasduke Say No More & Kloppite Scooby & Blaird Pete & Richie Insider & Montydrum Toddy & Pegasus Black Kirrama & Gubellini Ponderosa & Al Feilding Houlahan & Pheroz Pure Steel & Right First Time Alf & Aaron Stoyd & Thelad Reacher & Nomates Hall & Camacho       Ohokaman     Jack     Catalano     Kilcoyne     Basil Brush     Foxmerts     Manfield     Floyd Pink     Winner     Double R
