Drove a few months ago on the grass circuit but now apparently no longer licensed as either Driver or Trainer. Anyone know why or has he seen the light that NI Harness is  a joke and not worth being involved in?

If he's retired, good on him. Mangos has been in the game a lifetime so time for a change. Make way for younger folk!

For a guy that purports to have his "ear to the ground" in all things harness racing, this is a rather pathetic attempt at baiting someone else to come out and say what you clearly don't have the balls to say!

You clearly know more about this than the rest of us. I simply asked a question as to why he's chucked the game in.

Care to share what you know about the topic or are you just being a tosser

I got told on Saturday night at Menangle that B Mangos has thrown in his license due to repeated poor treatment from the stewards regarding the whip rule in NZ

All shall be revealed in good time. There's no rush, it's been many years in the making to get to this point.

Sorry not taking your bait. If you want to tell the story, go ahead and do so.

Unfortunately it only gets worse with two other trainers one fairly high profile who gets a lot of support from hrnz  facing even more disgusting criminal charges. As an earlier poster stated its disgraceful that Australian participants know more about what’s going on in the industry here than us. Although these scumbags are responsible for their own actions hrnz have done nothing to address this group of degenerates

Geez I dunno, how the hell can Oz participants know more bout what's goin in NZ Harness? and if HRNZ are not keepin on top of stuff why has no one called HRNZ out about it? it's bizzare....

What happended there?

Just after the horses crossed the finishing line he deliberately forced Chilcott into the outside fence.  Apparently annoyed that in the run home she didn’t shift ground to let his horse out of a pocket

Yes Mango was found guilty ....and is allegedly to be sentenced in the next week or two.

He has handed his licence in and his life will take a different path in the future.

It's such a shame when people do something completely out of character and have to pay the price..... especially a good bloke like Mango.

As a horseman, he had few peers and he will be sorely missed out of the training and driving ranks.

FF.
