Give the guy a chance...at least he seems to have some interest in racing so that is a huge step forward I would of thought.

First minister since Peters who has a direct association with racing. Must be a good thing. I am not sure why so many are anti improvements in animal welfare. Our sport needs to do everything it can to make sure it is attractive to potential participants.

Indirectly you could say yes but Peters was the racing minister, he helped those who helped him I guess, wasn't it the racing guys who were backing him with advertising etc etc, one wonders if the big help out hadn't happened ,where or in what state would racing be in.
