    Show some guts Scooby

The threads concerned descended quickly in to "handbags" and lost interest to me. Those jousting should know_-------- Explaining is losing! Lose your temper. Lose the argument! Also wallowing in the negative can damage health.

    Kentucky Derby Coverage

Yes the US economy is going great. Ours will head south under these losers Winston gave us. The discretionary spend is down here obviously and will fall further NZ Racing in trouble!

The thread is interesting and as lesson, that duplication of names serves little point, as we are identified by patterns of speech, cadence and grammar. That is is you have become familiar with the writers work. I edit others work and make a conscious effort to not over edit and so make it all look i wrote all the stuff. Take Leo for instance it wouldn't matter what he he called himself, the clarity and little tells like putting commas after "and" identifies him.

This doesn’t look so good for Cambridge

More for you according to Brian Rogers of Sunlive “Gluttony: The sin of scoffing… Sloth: The sin of deadest laziness… Envy: That ugly and pointless thing we call jealousy… Wrath: when people piss you off… Lust: Uncontrollable lechering, gazing on a fine form and wanting… Pride: walking around in designer crocs. And multi-marriage.

For those of you that couldn't go.There was many hundred people and maybe a thousand, that came from far and wide. Many of those faces you have seen on TV. Trainers, Owners and Jockeys. The latter included Peter Johnson and daughter Daniielle (TJ's god-daughter) David Peake and notably Greg Childs made a pilgrimage there. The brilliant George Simon officiated and people close to Trevor came forward and spoke. There was music and laughter and a some held back tears. George ended the service with a beautiful "Waiata" We left proud that we knew a great man!

    Saundry on trackside

The INFORMANT needs support to survive. Who can afford that? It should be those who make money out of this game. By and large its not the Punter, the Owner or the Trainer. That leaves the Breeder who has most to lose if racing goes tits up. Thats is majorly an export industry that cant survive without a local racing presence. Its already being downgraded by lack of numbers and class. A solution would be to levy all sales of bloodstock say 3% ???? The Breeders would scream unfair! Then take 3% off all stakes payouts before service providers get paid. So. then you have all those who benefit from involvement paying a small share. You say 3% wouldnt work. Well NZB are commission based and they survive. Now you would have serious marketing grunt and Racing could be built up again from a strong financial base. Once that happens the levies can be reduced. The problem with NZRB and NZTR they are strapped for cash and if you are that, you are reactive, The above levies suggested should go to an independent body so funds are not southed off.

Hooton says Tooth Fairy should call a snap election and if she does so would win in a landslide. Winston First is consigned to history and with it AWT Messara Report, Jonesy PGF. In will come the CGT and we head towards Venuzuela lifestyle.

We called him TJ, the Sunline Lodge staff called him Boss and if I wrote about him I called him The Legend. He gave us all memories we will take to our graves. Our thoughts are with Noeline and all the Family. And also all those close to TJ. There are long time staff, like Speed and Dave that loved the great man too and will so miss him. Neil Miller
