Entain have been a game changer for the best but the AI generated form comments could really do with some editing by someone with Actual Intelligence.

Bella Nipotina - second highest stake earner in Australian racing history - a "Useful type"

Albatross - last four starts 1112 - "Comes into this with ordinary form"

Amazonia - first and second in two starts "Almost unbeaten"

Horses with a pedigree that would struggle to get them on Gavelhouse - "Bred to win more than one race".

Horses going from Listed to Group 3 - "Multiple class riser".

And what is the relevance of where a horse ran four starts back how far it was from the winner and how much it was paying?   🤷‍♂️

With you 100% .. how does that sort of crap comments attract young and or newcomers to the sport ? .. you will find 100s of ridiculous comments everyday. Entain might be good for owners and trainers because of cash injections. But they do absolutely NOTHING for the punters, it's almost like playing the pokies. We all know that without the punters racing will cease to exist

I thought I was the odd one out when I had an opinion on the TAB race comments.

However, obviously I'm not. Thank God for that.

My question is:  why does Entain continue to list useless comments?.

Is it their ploy to lead astray the poor hapless punters who doesn't know any better.  Which isn't nice!!

Naughty, naughty Entain.

Wanganui R2 - French Doll.
“Has run well in all runs here”

Never started at Wanganui.

Unbelievable crap, you will find 100s of false comments if you go through all fields. People are investing money, and for those who may not be overly familiar with racing are being led down the garden path. For me it's bordering on fraud.

Interesting to see a comment against the winner of R4 today:

"Poorly ridden at last start so forgive. Riding change here matters."

Thought I would go back and check the stipes report on its most recent race and sure enough looks like the rider had a mare and got a decent spray from both stewards and the trainer that day.

I wouldn't have thought AI was intelligent enough to be reading stipes reports and turning them into an opinion piece so there must still be an element of human input going on.

The comments change quite a lot between when they are first posted and race day so it seems they are AI generated then updated by a "human".  Which makes it even worse that they are often so completely irrelevant and inaccurate.

Eva Magical (Te Aroha) ...what? .This word 'atop' must be in their algorithm cos its sooooo overused in comments ...do we expect the rider to be anywhere either than 'atop'? S'pose if he falls off he'd be somewhere else ... how about "Trial winning rider sticks/stays." "Trial winning rider up/on/aboard."

Trial winning rider stays atop.

There's actually an interesting phenomenon with ChatGPT and the word "delve". The AI would use the word considerably more often than the average western English speaker (and use of the word grew massively in academic journals, perhaps pointing to academics using AI to write their work) to the point that everyone noticed and wondered what was going on.

It turns out that in Africa (particularly Nigeria) the word "delve" is pretty common. And because English-speaking Africans were being used to train the AI (because it was cheaper than hiring Westerners) the AI had an African-English tilt to it.

That said, what a minor thing to care about. If the AI constantly said "sticks" instead someone would get upset about that.

I'm personally loving the runner comments since the revamp of the website, because of the in-depth descriptions of the past two runs.

I couldn't resist this week's offering re HAARACAINE.

Listed to race over 1800 @ Rosehill

Comment:  Fair effort without threatening at Caulfield at latest.  Place preferred.

Listed to race over 1800 @ Caulfield

Comment:  Ran home respectably here last start.  One for exotics.

Going to have to pull their fingers out to get him from Caulfield @ 2.30 up to Rosehill for the 4.55.  :)

I do like how a horse has 15 starts in the heavy for a single placing & is then immediately labelled a wet tracker in the comments 🙃

At least they didn't call it a swimmer!!

Backed a horse today Mr Intelligence, comment  " Others Better "  . Fair enough when you looked at awful  form, but had not bad firm track form.  However   Clint Isdale's  horse "  Racing poorly and expected to race poorly again today "   Ahhh no , ran 2nd at $ 1.50 place, paying around $ 5 to win, so not expected to run bad at all. Sometimes the comments are so wide of the mark, I think my cat could select better my sticking her paw on a page,

It must be embarrassing for Entain as they do take pride in what they have done for the NZ punter and how professional they are most aspects of racing. Some may argue with that but by and large I feel they are doing a great job.  I don't why they don't show in the 'Full Form Guide" the review comments e.g. 7th inner, held up corner, out 100, flew late

Most of us regulars know where to find them in the PDF files but newer punters wouldn't. (Harder to find on your phone.) It is very helpful information and we know that the more the punter is informed, the more likely he/she is likely to bet.

SI form line comments used to be quite good, but seem to have deteriorated lately. Mr Intelligence paid crazy money, beaten by wet tracks in his two starts before Friday. Even today's form line suggests shock that he managed to win on a firm track on Friday.

100%. Just ditch what they're currently using for each horse, and replace with the PDF comment lines. Easy as. Job done.

Exactly .. why don't they just use the PDF comments ?? .. what's the point of the B.S they put up ? .. and please Pakaraka dont tell me where and how to view the PDF because I know.

The point as everyone else on this post has said do it once up front and do it right.
