Barrier one was always going to be very awkward for him and his position in the race was dictated by the horse in the blue clolours in front of him hence where he was positioned back in a bad spot turning in. He was blocked in the straight and had to come across heels and it was pleasing to see when he did get clear air some nice acceleration before having to be eased short of the line when running out of room yet again. As mentioned it was good to see that turn of foot again when he did get some clear air.
