Palliser 1,276 Report post Posted Sunday at 05:08 AM Why do all the presenters and commentators go on and on about the Warriors instead of the days bloody racing. And the "Up the Wahs" thing is a real cringe. I sit down to enjoy a racing programme and get bombarded all day with it. If they have to waffle on about a sports team, then talk about the Auckland football team that are winning the A- league. Not a team that loses year after year after year. FFS Mate , PM me your address and I'll organize for someone to pinch your TV/TVs to relieve you of your ability to watch effin trackside , because simply put there is FA on it that seems to agree with you . I'm not even sure the 4 legged beasts keep you happy . Tauhei Notts 1,470 Report post Posted Sunday at 11:12 PM I gave Upmates an up tick, BUT, there is one point he is missing. The Warriors have the game's best public relations outfit. Consider this, they have struggled each year for the past 28 years to make the top eight. Yet, year after year, for nearly three decades they pump out the "this our year mantra". I saw them lose to the Eels last August and what got me was a couple of passengers in the team. Being live one could watch a couple of players individually. What got me was a couple that were always close to the tackled player and never made a tackle themselves, and when they got the ball quickly passed it whenever an opposing player came within two metres of them. Passengers. But the public relations people can successfully write them up. I had been told that the Warriors are the best team, on paper, but their problem is the game is played on grass. I agree , I still put myself through every game they play . But I was waiting for the commentators at the game to give reciprocal comments on the racing at Te Rapa , never happened . I get pissed off hearing about the All Blacks and the Yacht racing . Even on the news they put the All Blacks on before a bloody murder as their top story . As you can gather am not a fan of the AB's or any rugby for that matter Hedley Jordan, TurnyTom and bloke 2

Listen to any Aussie rugby or league game and they will often refer to race-meetings and often use racing terms. You never hear that in NZ. Racing is a fully integrated sport in Australia, treated just like any other sport. We will never get to that point in NZ. sunlineboy
Tauhei Notts 1,470 Report post Posted Monday at 10:04 PM We're Doomed. I went to see Collingwood versus Carlton at the MCG. The results from Caulfield that day appeared on the score board. Sydney racing did not warrant a mention in that city. We're Doomed, TurnyTom and Charlie E

I always watch their games and hope for the best . At least this year I've watched the whole games , unlike the last few years when I've switched channels after they were getting dorked by half time lol . They try their hardest and that's what I like
