  1. This today at Woodville race 5, comment re the draw, there were 12 in the field
  2. If you get the chance, have a look at the head on, masterclass ride by McNab, he turns for home on the rail, then drifts out "he could argue that he was looking for better ground" to the inside of Khairelle, McNab has the whip in the left hand at the time, swaps over to his right hand as he gets right up alongside the other horse and from there to the post "from my point of view" he hinders Weatherly's ability to ride his horse out with the whip and in turn beats him by a nose, brilliant ride. And if I'm totally wrong which is possible, it still looked great.
  3. Just to clear up any misunderstanding from your first sentence, no not at all.
  4. Nearly a full book of rides at upcoming Rotorua meet, he just needs to see how Michael McNab has done over the last few years, take note and get on with it and he'll done just fine.
  5. 22mths with time off for time on remand. Filthy scum, she's done 16yrs. Good on her for sticking with it and seeing it through.
  6. Getting a bit to deep for me Scooby, though I understand your point I'm just a small time punter that is looking for the best return on MY investment, maybe if the NZTAB offered the same odds then I'd support them, exactly the same reason I shop at pak n save and not new world.
  7. You are obviously far more knowledgeable than me re overseas sites, I'm just stating what has been my experience, just looking now you can get Solidify final field this Sat at 9s on SB yet the NZTAB is offering 6s, so anything less than 33% deduction is better. Then on to the JJ Atkins SB is offering 15s and 4.60 NZTAB is offering 8s win only, hardly copy and paste, as for the rest I'll take your word on that.
  8. Beg to differ, you obviously don't shop around when having a punt. Sure NZTAB have no Deductions, but they have factored that into the price already, I have backed horses at fixed odds on sports bet and NSW tab and Bet365 and even after deductions have come out better off than had I backed it on NZTAB, also the futures betting only offers win only, all others offer place betting as well. But yes as you say, we the NZ punter should just suck it up and get on with it, after all that's the mentality here in this country with anything the govt throws at us.
  9. I think it's to factor in the no deductions no suprise promotion, giving themselves a bit of a headstart is my guess.
  10. Interesting that you say the sub ran fifth, I looked at that race just before they jumped and the Favourite was the horse that ran fifth, so along with your logic I assumed it was the sub but I was wrong like you, the sub wasn't the fav Santissima it was the 2nd fav Just Maybe who ran 9th, had Just Maybe won you would have had a suprise deposit into your account, which gets me to wondering how do they decide who the sub is, I assumed it was the fav at the jump which was Santissima, unless the TAB hadn't balanced before the jump, wouldn't be the first time I've seen the odds change as they are turning for home.
  11. Talking of Aussie sites, the new boy on the block called betr offered 100-1{max $10} the field on MC, today they have backtracked on the 2 favs and dropped them to 10-1 because they have been hammered, still offering 100-1 the rest though. Last week they offered 20-1 the field on the cox plate, max bet $10 but was easy 2 hundy off Anamoe.

34 left in the cup and he is not one of them.
  13. 100% I wonder what the penalty would have been if it was Wiremu Pinn that was involved.
