shad, ma man, these comments are not attacking the horse! Do you not see that they are  -in multiple different words and phrases- bemoaning the sad state of the horse's circumstances...eg the training and racing of a former top-class 3yo horse who has been asked to do too much too often and too soon.

Fair call, but do we really know the cause of his average performances, is it over racing, is it small niggles, done a few miles in some tidy fields, or maybe he has had enough of racing, his trainer a very knowledgeable man, and has had some top liners in his day, guess we'll wait n see

IMO the cause is most likely to be the ongoing effects of the respiratory virus that upended his 4yo campaign. SNS has never been the same (or even half as good) since. He woulda'coulda'shoulda been a great Kiwi stayer in his mature years but, sadly ...

Jesus thanks for that statement of the obvious.

No one is knocking the horse here - the trainer maybe.

I think everyone would love to see him back to his best but that sadly seems increasingly unlikely.

yes, exactly what we've all been sayin; in different ways since ..forever! Maxi got hopeful after that gutsy run in the MV Cup with a decent weight, but that's been the highlight ...
