They don't like that kind of thing. Ties the money up over three hours or so. They prefer you churn funds over all six races. Bit like someone playing a poker machine. Once a week $10 punters aren't really the target. Personally I would struggle to get one or two and would see $10 better spent on a pint

They were useful about twenty years ago, but any edge is now gone.  I read an American book I found in an Onehunga bookshop about them a long time ago.  It was quite easy to put together a map using comments from a few back copies of Best Bets or Turf Digest and nobody talked about them so I presume not many were doing them.   Like every other edge I've ever found, plenty of others found it a little later and that was that.
