Very good question Maximus! Congratulations to there breeder Gail Macrae and also Joanne McKeagg who has a half share in Sterling Express- Her husband Brian trained their dam On Parole to win 7 races- all on heavy tracks. I don't know the answer! Nearest I can think of were Claroch who won R3 and Clarendon who won R8 at Te Rapa on the 8/5/65- both ridden by Gary Edge.

The last I can find were Going Some who won R3 and Show Keeper who won R4 at North Canterbury on the 24/3/75- both ridden by Chris Ramage for Gordon Thomson. They were full brothers to Show Gate. Must have been more since then!

On that subject, Mark Brosnan is a trainer to follow at Ruakaka over the next few months, for some reason they just perform there regardless of starting price. Saturday was a great example with a $5 winner backed up by one of the outsiders winning the last race.

At Winton on the 18/1/58 Tilly Light won R3 ridden by Hec Anderton and his brother Pilot Light won R4 ridden by JM Cappie. At Opunake on the 15/3/58 Double Roll won R4 and his full sister Golden Roll won R5. Vic Sellars and Vern Coley the respective jockeys.

A couple of full brothers started in the second at Trentham last week, Touch of Paradise and Slice of Paradise.

I think two full brothers may have quinella'd R1 at the Cambridge trots last night, if my ears heard correctly.
