A very unusally run race with the 2 sets of 3 stablemates. One team of 3 working for Manhattan , and the other team of 3 working for Darling Me . and didn't they work Lol??
Team Telfer coming out on top with the easy win , but did they need to do it like that. Think she would of won anyways..

After reading todays article regarding Woodhams inappropriate and sleazy comments to an amateur driver last week and after finding out what was actually said surely his position is untenable especially since he says it was no big deal, 

Why did they not scratch all runners from that stable 

So the rules should just be ignored when you don't like their application? I doubt if the horse would agree.
The simple facts are that DeFilippi knew the rules — he's fallen foul of this one on several occasions before — and he knew when cup day is. One doesn't have to be Brain of Britain to join the dots. All this sentimental wailing and gnashing of teeth misses the fundamental point that he brought this on himself. Abusing the judiciary is just shooting the messenger.
And for all those tempted to squeal "but what about X?", well, yes, consistency would be good, but not confusing two wrongs with a right is better. The judiciary should be applauded for not succumbing to that kind of fallacious logic. 

I understand 3 members are challenging existing board members. One of these is a retired senior IRD investigator who will forensically analysis the ATC accounts for the last 7 years, obviously including the building project, to see how ongoing Boards have lost about $150 million, before any land sales. For this to happen all 3 of these members need to be elected otherwise the existing Board members, if re-elected, will not allow such an investigation to take place. It could be " squeaky bum time " for a few board members, past and present. 

Group 1 races should be FFAs. They are for the very best horses in the country, competing for top honours and top money. Temporale's track record and earnings show he is one of these! In contrast, Friday night's race is an ordinary hcp race with R62 horses on the front and only 7 in the field.  With his generous hcp, Temporale will start favorite even with Invictus in top form. As I said above, the whole point of handicapping is to even out a field of horses with a range of ability. However, most R65-95 trotters at Auckland didn't cover their training bills in these ordinary races last year with Temporale and BFB taking the bulk of the stakes. With this overt lack of appropriate handicapping , it is easy to see why owners of nice trotters are forced to sell to Aussie. This is contributing to the paucity of higher grade horses in the country. 

I can't believe he's allowed to break in horses. I would have thought that banned would mean absolutely nothing to do with the industry in any capacity  for the specified time.

21 months disqualification for needling horse on race day and lying to investigators. Only a young man so maybe he can turn things around. What I found interesting was the post on this forum from his mate who stated that his horse was only on the horse float and he knew nothing about this and wasn’t involved in anyway and yet his statement from the hearing was that he was at the stables and had seen Cam holding a syringe but didn’t see him administer anything (next Tui ad). JJ Flash, I often read your posts sometimes agree sometimes not. You stated i was to gutless to put up my real name but who does on this site. If you are a harness enthusiast then you will know who I am as I have publicly called out the last 3 people to be busted prior to them being caught resulting in anonymous threats and abuse ( par for the course for the weak and gutless) as for the legal letters just toilet paper now. I love the game and have been involved for many years and have had a gutsful of these cheating bastards bringing our game into disrepute. I stand by all my posts on all forums 100 percent and there is more to come

I don't need to know any details but if we are ever to clean up the game that has to be 3-5yrs regardless of how young you are.  5-10yrs for any one with priors. Corrupt youth are even more frightening to our future IMO.
Sadly we are just as lenient in Oz.  It has been over 3yrs since the Interdom eve offence that Glenn Douglas received 3yrs for and he still is yet to serve a day thanks to appeals and stays and courts

If the RIB people doing the routine visits are helping educate when needed and are positively encouraging best practice (records,  welfare, security, etc) in stables, rather than acting like "Mr Plod's"  then we are far less likely to have people falling foul of the rules though ignorance and stupidity. And that's good for everyone in our industry.

Scott Dickson has been fined twice but yet still holds a training license. Just a slap on the hand, we need to be more like Australia. A life ban should be the only solution.

Not quite right Diesel. Horse fans have to watch the dogs because they dominate the racing channel. Its complete overkill when we are subjected to continuous hounds from here and Aussie. Boring beyond belief.  
Give them their own channel so horse racing fans are not subjected to the continuous waffle that we have to put up with.

What about the victims? What about those honest, hardworking harness owners that he swindled and who lost thousands of dollars each? We only know about his harness victims. I'm sure there were plenty of others outside the industry that got ripped off too. What about them all?
And don't introduce smug statements like "perfect righteous people" as red herrings. The only perfect righteous person I have seen in this thread is you. Abusing anyone with an alternative view to you. Grow up!

Yeah I see you all saying they failed . But I see it (and many in the industry see it ) as a Success. Why?. Because the very presence of an investigating body must Alter the thought and actions  of the industry participants doing something against the rules. Did RIU process leading Trainer Nigel McGrath ?  (BTW ,His sentence was extremely Excessive IMO ) It deter others though .

I'm glad some cases are found Not Guilty too .(I did jury service recently and we gave a not guilty verdict, NO SHAME to the prosecution who tried to get him jailed, was just a silly case as that what turns up time to time ) Inca can investigate whatever IMO. It deters ...............

Do you guys realise that a LOT of cases that go to court, are given Not Guilty from various reasons (beyond reasonable doubt , etc)
Bloody stupid saying 'Shoot the prosecution' because they Didn't Win the case. Try and prosecute the lies from offenders and see how you go?.
