Congrats to team Rough Habit. Well done. And thanks to the rest of my team Sunline. We put up a good fight but condition just gave out in the end. Thanks to all concerned with running the comp. A lot of fun over the weeks.

"McDonald left the meeting with a short suspension, which he has delayed until Sunday, April 7 through to Thursday, April 11."
That was from Racing.com.. didn't mention anything what race it was from etc...
Wonder why he delayed it.. surely it wouldn't have mattered if he took it from Sunday 31 March until Thursday 4 April.. perhaps he's booked for something next Wednesday that he really wants to ride.??
Any other thoughts.??
The suspension, which still involves a 2 meeting penalty, will now commence on Tuesday 2 April 2024 and expire on Friday 5 April 2024, on which day he can resume riding.

Thought this was interesting:
“She was all out and I remembered that in New Zealand when I rode her when I changed the whip over, she took off,” McDonald said. “She did it again today.
James should have kept that up his sleeve. But eagle eye observers had probably noticed anyway.

A very good win today by Orchestral and James. Congrats. I would love to know what was said by JMac to Nash on the line.

I would also like to thank Scooby and Say No More for a great comp. Congrats to all winners and all the teams and thank you to my team. I seemed to struggle a bit so I may need to be re shod for the plate comp. But it’s all good fun.

Very well deserved. Happy Retirement Zaaki.

P Moody doesn’t have to worry. If the horse wins, PM is a genius but if, God forbid, IWIW loses then it will be J Macs fault.

Yes the slipper is a whole new ball game. Different pressure altogether. The 15 was unreal from the widest barrier. The longer races will suit.
And in my opinion they leave the babies in the gates way too long.

Hard to say...he is the best in the world for a reason, the horse just looked to me he is nearly at the end of his prep...an awesome beast of a horse though.
I agree. But I would also rather have seen J Mac on him.
