The draft dates were published ages ago - the final dates can't be far away. -

Quite possibly! It is easier to pick a place bet and get some money back than to pick a winner. They do not like people winning and do anything to stop them even if it means preventing them from seeing the odds.

I'd settle for a clearance but unfortunately it seems Biden and myself have something in common , politics excluded . You must admit it's highly likely the dems have lied about this as well , not a good look especially when Trump is flying in the polls that were released today . -

Best stayer in the race? That's a bold claim. I don't care about the result, I don't bet at meetings like Rangiora. I also never back the Dunns, I admire your unhinged loyalty, but I still claim he's an impatient drivers... he's not the only one 😄 -
I think Bruce Sherwin is a top bloke and a very good race caller how they can do it I don't know , its just a pity he screams when it is a tight finish JMO.

the Act of Parliament shouldnt take 2 years to be passed into law as there should be no objections and is it not possible to print tentative dates for july to dec ? -

To me it appears TAbEntain got the idea that place bettors dont make them any money at all. so they hide fixed or tote divies and to me it seems like all the presenters now seldom mention place prices (have they been acting under instruction? ) Sure if you dig for it you can find out but as many bets are impulse purchases it seems counter productive to not encourage place betting (eg 2 over 3 ,each way or simply a calculation to have a big win bet and a place at a level money back) Hope I am wrong and entain is right .I am still a harness Racing super fan and poss becoming a grump at 77 but some fine tuning would be appreciated !!! -
The racing year has not changed (that requires an Act of Parliament and covers all racing codes). What has changed is the harness horse birthday so that we are in line with harness codes in Aussie and the northern hemisphere.

That the racing year for harness Racing is now 1.January to 31 December each year not ending July 31 !All their info seems to end in old timetable even all feature races etc. I know some dates are tentative but that is accepted but it would good to be able to plan a little ahead of July ! (which is not far off. ) -
Horses Exported 19/April - 17/May 34 - 24 Australia - 5 China - 5 United States, a couple of the Australians were race horses going home

Galileo spent 5 seasons in Australia and sired only 3 Group 1 winners bred in Australasia, which was well below his performance in the Northern Hemisphere, was there a reason for that? Was it due to unsuitable mares, in type or pedigree? Arguably he was the worlds best but did'nt duplicate that performance in the Southern hemisphere. Any thoughts as to why?

I agree, especially since he also has a day job as chief handicapper, a job that he also does bloody well and where he is still very responsive to queries.

Got the dreaded “clearance” a while back, but you know how that can go……

And thats alot more than some of them...I think JE needs pulling into line to he has far to much to say about things that are nothing to do with him...thats why I like Bruce Sherwin just calls the races and does it bloody well too. -
