The absolute best option for the Racecafe site would, in my humble opinion, be for a separate Humour entity entirely, e.g. Thoroughbred... Harness... Greyhound.. Humour... etc. Then if you are feeling like you need a lift mentally and emotionally, or you've just heard the funniest thing ever you can flick to that forum and share. Otherwise it just gets buried in the fluff....

Talking about Cambridge... have been a couple of times recently, we usually all meet up in the sports bar. What a mess, now there is only 1 TAB outlet, queues of people, most walk away just as the race begins? What are they doing????? Easy to imagine the amount of money they are losing. I am not a great gambler, but do love a dabble when at the races. Look up, see the length of the queue and change my mind, carry on talking...

Tried to get onto HRNZ site this morning to check on infohorse. Trouble getting on first because Firefox advised me it was an unsecured site and did I really want to proceed. Yes please. Umm headlines says 20th September most of website unavailable because they are shifting to another building. Can't get my head around the logic, it reads as if they have physical files on site that will be trucked elswhere?

Cambridge could be more proactive regards on course betting. The Sports Bar, where there is a large assortment of clientele, have removed the 2 betting nooks at the back of the room and now rely solely on a lovely lady doing her best in the corner of the bar. I know there is a machine in the room, but its reliability is suspect. Are the TAB hoping that everyone is going to do online betting on their phone? We have been a few times recently, I have watched the long line of hopeful punters between races, considered having a bet myself, but decided standing in a line for 10 minutes isn't worth the effort, and yes we do have a tab account, but being on course is a different kettle of fish? I think they have lost a few dollars? Our group like everyone to throw a few dollars on the table, there is a VERY complicated picking system of who spends the money, and we just wait and see, this happens all through the night. Now? Forget it....
