    • If you wanted to witness bad weather, it was the first time Addington hosted the Jewels after Ashburton lost it. I love going to the Jewels and we raced a few Trotters there, and we had Majestic Man in that year. Absolute shocker with sleet ,hail, rain and wind. maybe it was Karma. Not a sole in the empty hospitality tents , no music ,nada, zilch. I know Phil williamson was not happy with the proceedings, it should never have gone ahead even if the course held up.
    • Call me old fashioned, but NOT a fan.
    • Judge for yourself but on that AI says: AI doesn't just focus on corporate jargon; it can be quite versatile and helpful! 🤖 AI aims to process and understand all kinds of language, from everyday conversation to professional terminology. When trained effectively, AI can: Enhance Communication: Help break down complex ideas into understandable language. Streamline Tasks: Automate repetitive processes, saving time and effort. Provide Insights: Analyze data to uncover valuable trends and patterns. Different AI systems might prioritize different aspects depending on their design and purpose. While some might emphasize corporate language to assist with business communication, others might be tailored for more general or specific tasks.
    • I would have thought AI would just seek out the corporate jargon and summarize it, and not add anything new ....or useful
    • A bit cheaper starting point than paying a consultant to do their job for 6 months too I would have thought?
    • Exactly. The drone shots show it all; however while Dixon and LTF appear safe to push-out early nationwide, I'd say they're probably safe to do anything they like in Queensland 🤣 To be fair though, as you said Alf, "If the others drop back and think they can catch him they are no chance". Dixon said last night he'd be happy getting barrier 8 as the wins have kept coming from the seemingly difficult draw.
    • Exactly right Idol-mate. Grant does it every time. Busted off the fence quick in both heats from 1 on the second line, past 2 weeks. In the equal of this race last year G1 The Blacks A Fake QLD championship run one year ago this week,  he drew One. and bulldozed out sideways straight after they settled,  but there was nothing anyone could do to keep him in. caused a bit of tightening too. but Eventually he beat Swayzee by 2 lengths , with 8 lengths back to 3rd. LTF Also drew One in the Cranbourne Cup in February , and after being headed off fence line straight away.  just went out sideways Immeadiately and went on to win from the brave NZ horses Don't Stop Dreaming and Tact McLeod.
    • That's an understatement really. I do not think he is capable of losing this, barring shocking luck, the horse makes it look deceptively easy. I wouldn't mind betting from a physiological perspective his cardiorespiratory fitness is off the scale and has an oversize heart, not unlike Young Quinn, Cardigan Bay. It's a pity Sure Thing Captain has drawn wide as I think he would have made it interesting from the front. Oscar is a very real chance, providing he settles. Im not a great fan of Sanderson to be honest, a little way short of the best yet, but not my call.
    • He is pretty good at getting him off the fence early, possibly borderline on the push out rule, but they're not going to touch a smouldering hot local favorite 😉,
    • I think he can even afford to drop back if necessary, as they'll be plenty of gaps opening over the final 500 metres of the 3100 metre final. And nobody will be finishing stronger. We may even see Dixon try and immediately get into the moving line - as he so often does from bad draws - to avoid getting trapped on the markers. In all honesty, he'd have to fall over - or be taken out - to lose.
