I expect you are right. The bank seems to have been very patient while they thought there was a prospect that the Franklin sale could get the ATC out of trouble but once they decide it doesn’t look realistic anymore I think they will have no choice but to force a sale of Alexandra Park. That will probably leave just two options, 1- Put a track on the inside of Elleslie (and Elleslie may not want to do that) or move in with Cambridge. I don’t see any other option

This is for Leggys benefit..I am a moderator here so I do not need to go into anyones account to remove emojis I can do it easily just by clicking on whoever has posted them...even your good friend Doug could not lie about that..I am tired of all this sniping on other sites and innuendo.....but as you seem to want to carry on...sorry but you have left me no option..so you will be not welcome here anymore. -

I think he was very real in the interview...everyone has issues so he is not alone...still a bloody good rider and I hope whatever he does he is successful. -
What would you promote? The first Saturday? I think you could promote Wednesday all you like, but you wouldn't achieve much. Dogs on Thursday are having their last spin around this year. Cup Days are already sell outs. I doubt there are many people that live in Christchurch that don't know cup week is on.

Am little unsure Meomy, my understandin so far is that things have kinda ground to a halt all round, whilst the sale saga plays out.....maybe someone closer in on situation could inform of any impendin developments or updates 🤔 all I know is it is bloody sad to see that ruddy great for sale sign up outside the FTClub, fricken heartbreakin..... Cheers Iraklis

He had to loosen Opie up and allow him to think he could freely speak by being an example. Theres a reason most Dom interviews go for 1hr 25 min to 2hrs long, but Opies only went for 50 minutes. Opie would have loads of stories to share and I bet he does... down at the pub.

I disagree the other horse shifted inwards to make them eventually touch...right decision I think. -
Oh that's typical of Dom Harvey and his own ex to. Those in other "media" are all trying to get jobs at places like the Racing sector because they are not getting jobs elsewhere, some out there have great experience but they all must realise it they are jumping ship to Horse and Greyhound Racing sectors we need balanced reporting not "gossip about private matters that should have stayed private"

Or across all those rural clubs. Snow Lupton, Noel Eales and others must be turning in their graves

Has there been any updates in regards to the surrounding Properties Private development for housing @Iraklis? Or are they now off? Does anyone know who those Private Investors/ Developers are? We all need to be mindful these "Projects" and Sale of Racecourses was pushed during COVID "Fast Track" legislation... Which in itself must be scrutinized and those shoving it in our faces held to account.

Our thoughts exactly. How many horses have ever escaped because of broken fences or when gates have been deliberately left open or not closed properly to kick animal owners out of the area? Some of those baseless Health & Safety complaints are made by people who are not versant with how to behave around Animals are in part why Auckland no longer has Pastoral Grazing leases on its Volcanic Cones aka Mt Wellington, Mangere Mountain, Mt Albert, Mt Hobson, Mt Eden and other places. It would be prudent to obtain a copy from various Councils and their official records, together with the Race clubs to establish chronological order, context etc if these are minor or resolved "Health & Safety" issues. Sometimes fences do get broken when vehicles crash into them and they then get repaired. The encouragement to fence legislation came into force because of David White who had land holdings in Mt Wellington, Auckland in the 1840's. David White was also involved with Pakuranga and Papakura Highways origins. He kept getting his cattle impounded and had to attend what was The Supreme Court because they were eating the neighbours vegetables - true story - The Impounding legislation was used and then the Encouragement to Fences Bill and Act was introduced. He was instrumental along with those in Hunt Clubs in building the Stone Fences across that part of Auckland that you may see on your travels. Incidentally Fences includes but is not limited to Hawthorne Hedges, bush, streams, creeks, a smattering of scoria, barbed wire and those brilliant branch fences we used to have including at Auckland Domain as those before us used what materials and means they had which in that era didn't include steel nails as we know them or number 8. Is this part of Franklin Racecourse that of David Ross Hamilton's property that he sold? He owned the area bounded by Buckland Road. He also contributed to Agricultural and Pastoral Society whilst alive.

That Interviewer was atrocious, ridiculous questions and kept probing about his last marriage. I couldn't believe he asked Opie what his ex wife would say were his worst and best habits wtf. And he kept talking about himself and what he did and didn't do ! .. who gives a flying you know what.
