Thanks for the message, and no worries, life comes first and if you can fit the comp in then that is well and good.

You haven't been eliminated from the comp just yet.  Your path to the final is harder now but you should still throw some picks in this coming Saturday if you can.

Week 2 of the Play-offs kicks off with Trentham R6.

The top 16 are playing for 8 spots in the Grand Final.  The other 8 go into a repechage next week.

The bottom 12 (or 11) are playing for four spots in that repechage next week.  The rest are eliminated.

Reacher, Peter RS and Pheroz fill out the top 3 places in the A group.  The top 8 in that group (highlighted in blue) move directly to the Grand Final in two weeks time and get a bye next week.

The bottom 8 in the A group and the top 4 in the B group, ie. everyone from Sayer down to Pete should come back next week for a final chance to progress to the Grand Final.

Footnote: My mate Luke, who had been eliminated last week but put in his picks for fun, collected more on the last race than everyone (except the winner) else got all afternoon - nice picking Luke. I might have to consult with you for the final.

Looking at the scores after Race 5  Peter RS was at 244 and scored 30 in Race 6 but finished with 302 instead of 274 if I have my maths Right.

It does'nt affect the top 8 but some glitch perhaps.

There was a change to the 3rd placing in R8 from Trentham which wasn't initially noticed and only showed up - l think - in the last race of today's comp. Paid $2.80 a place, so that'd be the 28 extra points? (He says, not having been a part of this comp, so unsure of the exact format )
