She’s far better suited over this distance and has a solid record on heavy ground (5 wins). Maps to get a soft run just off the speed, and with the right tempo, she’s capable of finishing over the top. Don't be surprised if she spooks the favourite late. Main Danger – Chevron Racing in consistent form and comes off a gritty second over 1400m on a testing track. Will strip fitter again, gets in with a light weight, and has proven himself over this trip. Likely to be well-favoured in the market and will take some running down if he gets a soft lead or parks handy. Roughie – Midnight Runner Hard to leave out on his home patch. The 10-year-old hasn’t been in the best form lately, but he loves Riverton and gets up in distance, which looks a plus at this stage of his prep. Where have you read that Godolphin are retracting somewhat? I don't see the moving away from primarily a private trainer in Australia as retracting, as now days around the world their horses now seem to be well spread. Now I could be wrong, but weren't the stars of last weekend, Kentucky Derby, Kentucky Oaks, 1000gns and 2000gns all trained by different blokes?
