Suggesting that a start should be abandoned based on a horses tote price is a very slippery slope...

And those drivers should have the book thrown at them , I have  seen horse's deliberately run into and almost go down , as an owner I'd feel like punching the driver on the snout.

Can’t expect to pull the whole field up because your pick had no manners. What about the punters who’s horses do behave but then get stirred up due to a false start ?

I'm sensitized to the whole false start decision............. ever since the National Mile at Alex Park circa 1973.

I had a tip for a horse called ROBALAN who was paying about 8's from memory.

Mobile dispatches with ROBALAN in a break........... same rules didn't break any gear !!!

O'h shit it doesn't wear any it's free legged.

Did my dough again. 

Horse won it's next 9 I think

The rules are quite clear unless there is broken gear or it interfere's with another horse they will keep going . Back in the day we used to swerve to check another horse so they called a false start . I feel for you though has happened to me too

But get this I was pissed off with the TAB after this happened . I took Ricky May in the drivers challenge the day he had a heart attack . He was well clear in front and still had good drives to go and definitely would have won  . Well did my dough , so happy Ricky was ok but they could have refunded us but nope . Typical TAB
