  1. MisterEd, the difference in push down rules contributes to that greatly. NZ drivers often pull back and let someone in or else get forced to the fence line unlike Aus where you can not push down at all.
  2. Race 2. #4 Carrera Rapido Race 3. #5 Confessional Race 6. #11 Coney Island Lou Race 7. #7 Treacherous Gall Race 8. #3 Time Up A Hill Race 11. #3 Republican Party Good luck and thanks for the comp
  3. Recent years have been Birmingham Drive and previous to that was Lincoln Road. I don’t believe to be owned by Addington Raceway but not certain on that.
  4. I believe the penalty’s start at a warning, then a fine and then a suspension based off your record in the previous months. unsure of what time frame they work with. Don’t ask me how to actually work out what whip use is or isn’t allowed. Seems impossible to follow. Some look terrible but don’t get a thing. Others look fine and they are punished.
  5. New location is half the price and owned by Addington Raceway. Cost saving and putting money back into the industry indirectly.
  6. Talking through my pocket as I backed Hazer top3 but agree. Given no chance. Sagwitch is a noted leader. Mcilwrick’s drive very poor. Was surprised no questions asked as I have seen others prosecuted for less.

No one. I’m just pointing things out from my personal view. Which I thought was the point of a forum such as this. Maybe I’m just not in the right circles but if it isn’t reaching me, a person with an interest in racing, how is it meant to be reaching Joe Public? It does sound like a lot of promo has been put out around the Cambridge area which is great and I’m happy to admit that I was wrong on that front. I am not in the Cambridge region so I missed that stuff clearly. Australia seem to do a fantastic job with marketing. One time I was in Victoria during a large carnival meeting and they had ads in the paper and banner up throughout the local shopping malls.

Possibly. But it hasn’t reached my channels so it obviously hasn’t been effective.

Agreed. Feel the promotion for this years race has been poor. Or maybe novelty has worn off already. A big announcement with a video or profile of sorts on each horse as they are announced or something along those lines would be nice. I don’t know how marketing works much but wonder how hard it would be to get a segment on the news once all slots announced.
  10. Wonder if these meetings are meant to replace forbury? most seem to be for the lower rated horses with less stake. Programming seems to be a problem too. The races programmed at each meeting should compliment each other compete with each other.
  11. https://harnesslink.com/new-zealand/captain-tom-heads-home/ looks like something not right with the horse
  12. Absolutely agree. Hope he comes back to the game. Looked to have a big future
  13. Injured. Don’t think it was horse related.
