Alicia Harrison 33 Report post Posted Thursday at 07:15 AM My thoughts on Alex Park Tomorrow (Don’t know why the text is so big sorry! I can’t edit it and I’m not retyping it haha) Guess if I was doing the what’s thing Best: Bar Louie E/W: hm most are short to place so probably for some value either Hawkeye Pierce or Won and Only Longshot: Definitely Jasinova although unsure how she’s even got into this field! Also I leant towards Ohoka Connor in the big race down south though it was a decent effort parked fresh up in that field and he should be improved. Main concern is how he steps Alex park R1 2200m Trot SHEZ BELLA #6 10m very good when winning in some slick sectionals last start, back 10m but shouldn’t worry her too much. VORONOV #7 10m Got home well for a nice second last week, closer handicap here should see him right in the fight. COURMAYEUR #5 10m Aussie newcomer, race record over there wasn’t overly flash but was driven pretty hard wide on good times. Trialled nicely at Pukekohe 29/8, although got slightly rough on the bend so the first time right handed may be a slight question mark, but certainly could take this out. ILSAS SON #2 was just slow away last time, which tainted his great record lately. Good handy draw here should see him get a favourable trip and be right in the fight again. CASTANA #3 Was good running a fresh up 3rd behind SHEZ BELLA & ILSAS SON should get a nice trip if he steps well & can certainly go close with a good trip again here. R2 1700m Big field over 1700m makes for a pretty tricky race with the better horses drawn very wide and a otherwise pretty even race, and theres a lot of different winning chances. ROUGH AND READY #12 is no doubt the class horse of the field. Loves a sprint trip & tends to hold his winning form when he’s feeling good. Absolute horror draw here however & it’s going to take a hell of effort to win, but no doubt David will put him in the race at the right time. WICKED WANDA #11 did a bit of work last time & got tired in a fillies and mares' go. Shocking draw for her, but no doubt she had a bit of class and if she can get a drag into it should finish on strong. INVISIBLE #8 actually caught the eye when looping them last week before making a mistake and ending up out the back. If he held his gate, would've been right in it in a better field than this. Draws badly again here, but probably too good to leave out if he can get around safely. MCKENDRICK #5 Got to the line well after settling right back and would have recorded really good sectionals late last week, if he can settle handier has his chance. SEMBA #6 got to the line well last week & possibly has the gate speed to take luck out of play and be a good each way chance here. R3 2200m Trot BOUNCE N BEYOND #6 10m back to his classy best after a good opening campaign, certainly can win if he does everything right BOLT FOR THE HILL #9 10m very good again last time out, has plenty of class & certainly can win this. MAZEPPA #8 10m Got around safely last week and ran on well late ITAINTNECESSARILYSO #3 Went some massive races last campaign, has since changed stables but has looked ok at the trials this time in. LIAISON #5 10m galloped when looking like running in the money. Can figure in this if he does everything right. R4 2200m Another race where really every horse has a good bit of a form around it so should make for a good competitive go. JEREMIAH #11 Big run fresh up to hold on and win in a very good field after burning early. Not the greatest draw here but good enough to be put in the race at the right time and win. ALWAYS B ELITE #5 Got to the line strongly on a fast time (2.40.8) fresh up. Certainly capable of going another good race here. HAWKEYE PIERCE #7 Put up a big run prior to last week off a similar draw, although does make it tough in such a big field. Did plenty of work last week to find the top and just got run down by SEACLUSION after being eyeballed throughout in 2.40.5. SEACLUSION #8 Gate speed to lead & trail last week to get the win. Never goes a bad race & has good gate speed if they want to roll the dice here. FRISCO BAY #4 Good fresh up win, coming from off the speed to roll over the top of them. Slight rise in grade but from a handy draw is capable. MAJOR MAJOR #2 good run to hold second after staging a run from the 600m. Handy draw should see him closer throughout and could surprise. R5 1700mReally nice field of 2yo fillies here. Is a similar field from last week with differing draws after last weeks accident & a few new additions. Hopefully the horses haven’t been too affected by what happened. ALWAYS B MISTY #5 Showed a strong turn of foot in two wins to date. Did get loose in the fall last week but an excellent effort by the Clerk to catch her quickly. So hopefully she hasn’t taken a confidence hit & if she can get a good run in transit & do everything right should go close. WON AND ONLY #2 Should find the top comfortably in this field after once again showing her good gate speed before the race was called off last week. Has only been narrowly beaten in all career runs to date & looks a big filly who should continue to get stronger as the season goes. IM SANDRA DEE #8 Classy filly, just tended to get fiery last campaign. Manners have looked better in trials and early prior to the race being called off last week. Draw may not be the worst if she can settle early & get around them when asked & certainly can take this out & is probably over the odds here. MUSIC MISTRESS #7 Has been very sharp in career starts to date & come north in good order after some nice trials to get her ready. Not the best draw but another who can certainly win. ALWAYS B MAGIC #1 Has been good in both starts to date without being pushed for an effort. Should trail throughout here, which certainly could make her the value in this race. R6 1700m BAR LOUIE professional effort after working to the top last time & proved he’s not a one trick pony recording a slick time (1.54.2MR). Looks hard to roll if he does everything right. THE NIGHT AGENT #12 looked classy but green on debut, just got the speed wobbles a couple of times, but powered to the line. Should be improved for that run and wide draw gives him his chance to balance up and be put in the race when they want. CONFEDERATE #9 very good run fresh up, recording some slick sectionals to run 2nd after getting checked on the turn. Slight concern is THE JOLLY ROGER #1 hasn’t previously been fast off the gate, so end up back on the fence and looking for some luck again. I GOT CHILLS #10 Had his chance last time out trailing BAR LOUIE went well, but was clearly outpointed by the stablemate. Still a very nice horse & would've taken benefit from the run so would be no surprise if he took this out. CAPTAIN SAMSON #4 Has caught my eye at the trials and looks like a lovely strong horse. Freshened since his 3rd behind BAR LOUIE in may. R7 2200m JASINOVA 6 10m huge drop in grade for this mare, who hasn’t been out of the first four in her last four starts in much better fields. Should be able to run these off their feet. BRIENNE #9 10m no superstar but as honest as they come & got the job done last week. ASTERIA LAVRA #1 didn’t finish as well as she can when running second last start. Perfect draw for her here LIL WHIP #5 went a better race two weeks ago to run 3rd & can figure in this line up. BANGKOK BETTY #8 10m has loomed as a winning chance the last two runs before galloping and throwing it away. Hard to take her, but would be no surprise if she could run in the money if she does everything right. R9 2200m Probably a race I'd stay right out of with some young trotters learning their craft. ELIZABETH HILL #5 30m First go right handed in a concern, has gone some good races on her day, but form this campaign has been a bit hit or miss. Best would go close here. PARADISE ALI #2 Better when 2nd here last time out, building towards a win. MISS BEBE #4 30m has got it wrong since good winning effort. Can be right in this with better manners PLAYFASTANDLOOSE #1 galloped last start, prior effort was good enough to figure in the finish here if she does everything right. HENRIK LUNDQUIST #3 Has gone two massive races at cambridge after losing stacks of ground and flashing home. Manners are very iffy though so hard to back him. Alicia Harrison 33 Report post Posted Thursday at 10:31 PM Yeah Bolt for the Hill is scratched so probably why she’s shortened in! I thought she’s been good without being great at the trials but always seems to race honestly. I’m just not sure f they’re entirely happy with her since Dave is driving her himself? May want a line on her but would have to think she would be a good chance yeah he’s definitely a chance off his run last time out! Old favourite of mine getting to drive him a bit when he was up here. Should be fitter for last run too as he had been off the scene since cup week last year Charlie E
