Uriah Heap got a reaction from TBHunter in NEW ZEALAND RACING RETRO
If everyone accepted that the NZ Racing Retro was merely about providing a review of the Saturday racing plus trainers/jockeys thoughts then it might fly again. The problem was that many wanted it to be a forum for analysing the issues within NZ racing. As a result it was viewed as being "soft", as toeing the company line, as having drab panellists who would not ask the hard questions. It was compared unfavourably to Aus Racing Retro in most respects.

I'd love to see it again along the lines suggested by Aknowler, because I'm often tied up on Sat arvo and don't get to hear those trainers comments following races.

Not only Maori. Straight Strike has made derogatory comments about other ethnicities that don't have white skin.
Straight Strike is a white supremist.

I agree Traka. Great the Shield back in The Bay.
I was a bit sad for Otago, having their celebration cut short, but if it had to go anywhere, Hawkes Bay is a great choice.
That game v Counties will have a bit of meaning for a few ex Bay players, adding even further spice to the encounter.

Love that little snapshot from Dad's Army in the "Today's funny" spot.
It's a classic that show. I can tune in any time and laugh away.
It's like putting on an old pair of warm woolly socks.

The difficulty is it's hard to know where to go in a discussion with you guys. You've clearly made up your mind that Maori are shitbags. You offer no alternative theories and no possible solutions. Just that Maori are over represented in antisocial demographics and that the reason is because they are Maori. The logical extension of that theory is that Maori are ethnically inferior. There's a long history of that type of thinking. Thankfully it's recognised as the far-rightwing minority in modern society and it doesn't get much traction.

He's played three sports at the highest level, you can't deny him that.
Will he sign for Melbourne Victory next year and make it four sports?

At this point in the teams development it would be in the Blues best interests if Ali Williams retired at the end of the season.
He's not a leader of men. He's a moaner. It doesn't benefit the youngsters in the team to see the Capt constantly whining to the Ref.

What have the Chiefs got that the Blues need to find? Clarke, Cruden and Messam. All natural leaders.

Very accurate call Ziggy. You should have added "by three points, hanging on desperately until 4 minutes past the final siren"

You should have let this one go through to the Keeper Opo.
From time to time you raise some issues that are worthy of debate.
Primarily, you question how much recompense for past wrongs do Maori deserve and how much of NZ's resources does the Treaty of Waitangi entitle Maori too? These are points worthy of ongoing debate.

However to support Ms Krarup's comments undermines your credibility. It merely makes you appear to be a Eurocentric, white power extremist, with a strong distaste for Maori culture.

The Super 15 is three rounds in and already some trends are are starting to emerge.

The Highlanders, at this point at least, appear to have purchased a bunch of hand me downs who are a year or two past their use by date. Having said that they will likely be a bit angry (as grumpy old men tend to get)  and like are likely to give the Canes a hurry up this coming week.

Crusaders have had their usual slow start to the season, but improved plenty on Friday and should be back to the old Crusaders from here on in. Wouldn't want to lose to the Bulls though.

Canes I'm not confident about this year. They've lost Jane, they've lost the element of surprise and other teams might have worked them out. I think they'll struggle this year.

Chiefs look good again. No problems with a close loss to Stormers at home and they'll bounce back. Best NZ coach in the comp and best first five. Provided Cruden stays fit, they'll go close again.

Auckland Blues. The chickens came home to rest at the weekend. St John made mistakes in selection, they got beaten up at home by a genuine contender and Ali Williams reverted to his normal negative self in after match speech. How I chuckled to myself. Bottom half of the table for them.

I always thought Opo was a latter day "Chicken Lickin", doing the rounds of many websites in order to get across his message.
"The sky is falling, the sky is falling, look out here come those greedy Maori, the sky is falling" and so on and so on.

Surely he's not only posting on this site, where it's read by three men and a blind dog.
