Before Greg left the cambridge track was good ..can't say perfect ... but he did it his way and injuries were down.
This track has never been good since the black widow machine tore up  the drainage 6 or7 years ago...and it has never been fixed.
The whole track needs a total overhaul...boxes,electrical and total track and drainage.
Rain used to make this track the best in NZ now it cancels meetings...Finbar was a great guy and did a great job..but when you put a young fella up against these old time know alls he was on a  hiding to nothing..wheres Greg will do whats right and has the confidence to tell them to  F......O..
When you now go to cambridge wondering if you are going to race or even bring home your dogs...thats a worry.

Just what i remember ( getting old)  Skry rocket raced in the late 70s and was a nice bitch , she did have a litter which produced a very good dog in della gwen...the father of that litter was della boy...she was by imported sire Irish rover out off Wally Btittons Ecilgwen ...As the day goes on i will remember more......But those were the days at kumeu on a sunday..

Why are we paying all this money for the RIU , They have now become the dress police and have no idea what is going on .....Deb edlin watching trackside is one of the best dress trainers on the track yet she is attacked by the cd dress police officer because of her pants are not what he says conforms...where in the rules does it say deb cannot wear these  pants?? and now it is going to a JCA hearing ( what a waste of our money )....gezz  trainers in the north wear the same and nobody complains , To me if you look good on trackside, is that not the point to the dress code ? ,Look pants are pants,......Man are there not bigger issues for the RIU to focus on ??     So from now on we should all go out wearing odd socks ,shirts  hanging out ,pink singlets under white shirts, pants to tight our cracks show, g strings showing when we box dogs,hats that look like ridgeway circus, but for Christ sake make sure your pants conform......... and yes I was guilty yesterday, I was so hot I did not put a vest on....give me a  life ban.......... To the stipes and RIU , do you not see how stupid you are looking and what peoples opinion of you they are forming?.........TWO MEETINGS THIS YEAR AND THE STIPE REPORTS ARE ALL ABOUT DRESS CODE

You are right this guys communication skills are shocking , and they tell me he is being groomed to take over as our new CEO ,, I do not think he has any intrest at all in any track surface , there is no doubt most tracks need a total uplift and all there drainage replaced to allow for heavy downpours , only three or four years ago the tracks became better when it rained ..now look at them , a lot of money spent on GAP and not enough on saving dogs lives racing in my opinion .. But maybe that's his plan ,not as many dogs to rehome ??

Phil has been hung out to dry by grnz ...His dogs had been put down by a vet in the right manner as had our lp reps dog  that were put in the same pit ( he still has his job )....... there was no mistreatment it was the way they were buried that caused the problem,why carry on bringing this up... he had a vet cert to say it was done in the right manner.........at the end of the day phil and his wife are going through bigger issues in life than a piece of crap you keep bringing up ....just leave it

Back to the thread , I would like to wish  sweet as it is all the best , we are lucky to have her here and won't see it again for a long time.......... shame about the marketing of her as it should have been the biggest draw card ever ,  if someone move there rear end.....Sad REALLY
