@Hufkissen There's around 300 plus references to Noir Dore also spelt D'ore in Papers Past NZ archives. Noir Dore was raced in partnership between JJ Child's and H Turoa Haronga who v was a float driver in Fielding over 7 seasons.   Echo Haronga is Turoa's wife and they have a fairly large extended family. Maybe reach out to them and ask what records and photos etc they have in their collections.   Alternatively Noel Harris may remember as he rode in races against Noir Dore as did Gary Philips and Skelton.   Easiest to navigate PPNZ using exact name words, page preview and perhaps in yearly timelines e.g 1970-1972, 1973-1975 etc for chronological order.   A brief scan unfortunately didn't bring up any photos of the horse on it's own, however using names of Trainers, Owners, Race sponsor names and the like may - using "illustrations"    Let us know how you get on.

ys Iraklis,Lazarus was simply the best.... Best son of the best sire Bettors Delight and his greatest earning  progeny... near 4.5 million dollars.  his original crops in Canada were outstanding but he did not take to the hot Queensland temperature (I believe  )  experts could not find why but a return to NZ and now to the South Island may prove a cunning plan. Just look at what he could do when the new crops get racing  as his first 18 nz foals have been exceptional with most winning  and 16 of 18 now qualified. (consider myself lucky to have 50% of a yearling by Laz "Supreme Act "which can already pace very well.") Don,t lock up daughters book in to Lazarus.  (except for BDs close girls of course )

To be fair his league form is abysmal , setting all sorts of records for Spurs for league losses and losses over a season in all comps . I'm ambivalent , will support if he stays but it will be hard work if he doesn't sort out the defence .

He doesn't know everything , but he hasn't found anything he doesn't know the everything about , yet !.

Would appreciate it if someone with access to results from the seventies tell me the colours worn by the jockey riding Noir Dore to victory at Trentham on 27 Sep 1975 in the Abel Tasman HDC . Many thanks
