mikenz 1,095 Report post Posted September 30, 2022 Well it appears that if your bet wins it pays out on provisional results, so after that if there is a change you still get ya divvy, So if ya fixed odds trifecta has a change of placing they still payout, that could be costly at their end. Theladdownsouth 328 Report post Posted September 30, 2022 It smells like they are draining the coffers to sell it, returning the punters there bonus money that they have collected over the years before its lost off shore, its funny they never declare how much jack pot money they have in there reserves. Just looking at it from a logic point of view so indoing the following are they really losing any of there profit margins or just giving back the punters what was there in the first place. Another Question is do they trade that jack pot money off shore when its not been given back to the punters via promotions to increase there over all profits. Dockers 200 Report post Posted September 30, 2022 I think it is great idea, And dividends paid out straight away , no need to wait for you account to be credited. The are matching the OZ bookies , that why they are doing boosting, bonus bet back fixed odds no deductions. Sounds like someone is finally listening to what punters want. goldcape
mikenz 1,095 Report post Posted September 30, 2022 Was discussing today that the TAB are geoblocked in oz meaning you cant bet from oz, seems you can in some places around the world though, Seems you need to be a NZ citizen though, to be a account holder, some of the rules in oz are more stringent than ours like needing certified documents to open a account. This Express payout idea does have some anomalies, paying out two divvies in the event of a change of placing, that could be costly, they payout twice too on dead heats. They also payout top3 in five horse fields, dont think oz do that. Another anomaly is when betting on the tote place when there are 8 or more runners then scratchings reduce to 7 or less, I reckon if you bet before the scratchings and run third, maybe a refund, bonus bets back or something, heaps of ways to be more innovative. MS26 70 Report post Posted October 1, 2022 TAB is actually doing a pretty good job lately, decent promos, paying on provisional results is another good thing.. paying out dead heats in full, no more walking down to the TAB to get your money out.. no fees on card deposits.. no fixed odds reductions for the spring (who else does that??), their only last objective must be to make sure the site doesn't crash during the busy spring betting days.. it's about time but good job TAB. Throw $5 on any option in the NRL Grand Final & get a $20 free bet to use on anything, anywhere.. might not be much to some, good for getting people involved though w/ minimal fluff. goldcape, Insider, cjw and 2 others
goldcape 43 Report post Posted October 1, 2022 The TAB want your punting money back into your account or back pocket asap so that you can reinvest sooner. It's a great change and although there is some risk for the TAB the rewards for quicker reinvestment will likely outweigh the losses that may occur from time to time. When you win at the casino you get paid immediately and that is the TAB's competition and most of us will know from either personal experience or observing others that the pokie or black-jack player invariably reinvests their winnings. Clever move by the TAB. Theladdownsouth
