You contradict (sort of) yourself - you say ban stands EXCEPT for big races.    So how do those in big races get stand practice against a field if you ban them     The two things you need to improve upon is 1) being tougher on hrses who consistently don'e go away from a stand and 2) the human element i.e. drivers who cheat by either trying to get  a timed run up or delay the start and the performance of the starters.     Simple!!    Easy to improve isn't it - when (way back lol) never had these problems!!

ARCHMAN - broke in the score up losing all chance. Authorisation of placings was withheld until Driver K Newman had an opportunity to review the score up in relation to whether his horse had been denied a fair start when being crowded in the score up. After reviewing the replays Stewards acting under Rule 213(1)(j) deemed the horse a non-runner. Stewards spoke with Starter P Lamb regarding this incident. Mr Lamb explained that in his opinion the horse had not suffered sufficient interference to warrant calling a False Start and so allowed the start.

Up to his old tricks. How did he not get reprimanded let alone fined for his latest F up when the JCA declared the runner in question a non starter

Don't know if Lamb was doing the job at Wingatui today but that Race 2 start didn't look too good

Front row all walked up and flew away but 30 metre horse were all standing and took a while to get trotting--- and none of them even caught up with bunch of the front horses after that
