N1MUE 1,877 Report post Posted February 7, 2016 Bit of fun for those looking for a distraction today. Crazy concept I know, but you submit one set of picks for two different comps. You pick one horse in each race at my beloved home town track (Tauherenikau), including one best bet, and those picks will be used in two different comps: 1. Standard $10 each way (best bet doubled) on each runner - most dollars collected at end of day wins. Any scratching (regular or late) goes on to tote favourite. 2. Losers Get Laid sprint comp - a la Hesi's New Year's Day comp. -40 points for your first winner; second winner you're out. Late scratchings earn no points. Regular scratchings go on tote fav. Double points for your best bet (both positive and negative). So you can either focus on winning one or the other, or you can try to win both (perhaps by picking lots of place getters?). Prize: The winners of both comps and I will each select a horse (gallops) next Saturday and I'll place a $40 % three horse boxed multi ($10 units). If either comp is tied I'll include all the winners (including ties)in the multi. Late notice so we may not get many entries but nothing ventured ..... Post your picks on here.
