The typical way of politics is that EVERY party is a FAILING PARTY. That might be the only thing that saves THE NATS, NZ FIRST and ACT.  While New Zealand escaped relatively lightly with 10% ridiculous tariff situations, he has since plonked a 100% tariff on all films made outside of America, and since THE LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy making giant movies and TV series in New Zealand has been a great employment opportunity for New Zealanders and a great money earner for New Zealand. A 100% tariff won't help either situation.
