Deep Sooth 60 Report post Posted April 10 Keith had 1 or 2 handy horses both before and after the "Lunar Chance era", but fair to say that he was a once in a lifetime horse that probably won more races than all the other "handy" ones added together. That was back in the day when amateurs raced against the professionals, the "little guy" had a fighting chance of competing at the top level, and the game was much better for it! Charlie E 33 Report post Posted May 6 Those were the days how Harness Racing has changed . I grew up with Young Quinn , Hi Foyle , Captain Harcourt , Master Mood , Kotare Legend , Delightful Lady etc . That's when racing was exciting and no push out rule so at least you had more chance of getting a dollar We're Doomed
Value Bell 264 Report post Posted May 6 Young Quinn = Young Charles x Loyal Trick. Hi Foyle = Hi Lo Forbes x Golden Legacy. Who was by Lumber Dream x Elsinore? Charlie E
Eclipsed 252 Report post Posted May 6 An absolute champion - won the big race at Greymouth one night over 2600m. Sat 3 wide parked the entire journey and simply too good in a quality 13 horse field. Went out 2/5 in the betting landing some hefty punts with the commentary on 3YZ and a valve radio forever fading in and out of decent coverage!
