  1. The riding ranks and the quality of riding has got so bad in NZ you feel like you should be at Bay Park watching the stock-cars.
  2. A few of us were all set to attend the races until I was listening to the radio and told that it was sold out. Watching around the back parade ring on TV I didn't see it been to busy. Had a day of punting and playing snooker at the RSA and didn't have to fight the crowds, so had a great day.

  5. Statement from the Chair Most industries across the globe have faced the disruptive influence of the internet. Some have rapidly adapted their business models to take advantage of the opportunities while others have not and now face the consequences - declining customer numbers and falling revenue. Interesting statement from the Chair, without saying or blaming anyone directly he was saying how the industry had not adapted there business model to the times and as a result we have $300 million of leakage. and now face the consequences, which is why our industry is what it is...A bloody mess.
  6. I rode trackwork some years ago for Lee and he was a wonderful person. His brother at the time was doing the video for the trails and he was a top bloke as well.
  7. Congrats to all, what a win, what a horse. I couldn't quite believe the price the TAB fixed odds were ($7) I thought they must of thought the soft track wasn't going to suit, I even started to doubt myself with how much I should bet. In my mind this was huge overs and was the only real bet I wanted all day. Sadly I should have backed on the tote as the price was $8.9 which blew my mind that this horse could pay so much based on what it had been doing over there in it's pervious starts. I have had a FF bet for Wed on Allez Eagle at $7, another bet I can't believe paying so much, hoping this time that the tote won't be more.
  8. ha ha ha, I did the same thing once where I had paused My-Sky and then forgotten i had. I did my selections and tried betting on the laptop and couldn't work out why I couldn't select any options, started yelling at the computer thinking the TAB website was not working right. Never done it again. Sadly can't remember now if I had backed the loser or winner.
  9. Ted, you deserve all the success you get. You give your picks to most of us on here for nothing. What a great result, I hope your pockets lined for the year. Not to many times the TAB get it wrong as they are usually giving you unders until the day starts and they see where the money is been spent, but every so often I find a horse that I have priced and it is overs and then I start doubting myself that they know more than me.
  10. Thanks Ted, have a meeting so have just set the record and watch when home.
  11. Why not just build a roof on four courses in the country and be done with any issues with track conditions.
  12. I couldn't find anything on facebook, so thanks, I just had a listen always good to get the views of the good jocks there info can be worth money in the future.
  13. What is wrong with racing tomorrow. When I was in the racing game we never had watering and we never had any abandonments that I can recall and that was over 25yrs of racing.
  14. I heard the presenter on Trackside say that there was a interview with Oppie and Matt and you can hear those on social media. I went along to the NZRacing website with no luck. Can someone tell me where I can find these as the presenter must think we all know. Thanks
  15. I would hope they don't ride a soft one. I thought that is the job of the stipes to police this so that we all can have confidence when we throw the hard earn on.
  16. chevy86 you taking the piss. I think what so many of us love about racing is the horses and the personalities of racing. You have the rich, the battlers, the punters so many great stories have come about through racing and I love seeing people showing there emotions an excitiment, that is what racing is about. I love seeing the jocks showing there personalities and I love seeing the owners doing handstands an yelling and screaming when there horse wins it lets me think I am part of there enjoyment.
  17. I socailze with a friend at the high rollers on the 5th floor at sky city and 10k is a small bet. There are plenty of people with money and they really don't care if they win or lose they just want a good time. For me, all I keep thinking about is that could be another house with some of the bets I see.
  18. Matt any day of the week for me. Not to many times have I ever seen his mounts have bad luck. CJ well over rated, I seen him ride shockers that don't even get questioned then I see him ride like a guineas that he can be. But if I was having a big bet then it would be Matt with 100% confidence.
  19. The PC world gone completely mad. Don't we hear that laws are been written or may even be law as I write with regard to what they call bullying on Social Media.

I really find what I have just read as the most bizarre piece of rubbish I have ever read, in fact no wonder the racing industry is where it is with stupid people like P in charge and to contradict himself with his reputation and to try and get a ownership of a horse named after his 90 horses is totally classic comedy. What would someone reading the artical in the paper who has nothing to do with racing think of the industry it is damming publicity that should never have got any traction. WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO!!!!
  20. ever notice how the coverage of racing from Aussie during the week can be so much better than NZ racing. Example would be we show a race and they just cross the line and there straight off to Aussie then you get to see there build up and even get to see the slow reply as they cross the line and sometimes even get to hear the after race interviews, then they just put up the results from NZ while they show you another race from who knows where. I think they must of employed to many Aussies to run the show.
  21. hahaha bloody spell check let me down once again
  22. I have a friend in Auckland that has a ownership of a horse and it races in the central districts. His horse was trailing at Foxton and he was going to head down around 2am until I told him why don't you watch it on NZracing website the same night. Well I have egg on my face as the results are there but no video at 12pm the following day. I do notice that video results have been up the same day from other trails in the north example been Te Teko last week. Is it that the central districts run things a bit different like they don't give a .... about owners in the day of advance technology or did they run out of tape and screwed up, or does the owner have to wait till the Trackside screens it on during the week. If anyone can shed some light as I have a lot of shouting to do and explaining to my mate this afternoon and what can I say.
