  1. I'm no harness expert, I follow all the premier racing / quality horses tho, I just can't see many scenarios where he is a genuine $2.8 shot, more like a $4 shot in my opinion. Will have to come 3 wide on a 1.50 or less mile. I don't think Lenny will win either, seems more of a stayer than miracle mile horse to my eye. I'll be backing Beautide and saving on AOAA, if she gets a quiet 2nd quarter the sectionals shoe from her last start she's more than capable of running them off their feet.
  2. I will definitely be keen to lay Have Faith In Me anything under 2.6 on betfair. Big risk IMO.
  3. It will be a rather interesting few years if he does get in Aqua, I personally can't see him getting in but he's not a clear second fav for no reason! World War 3 is highly likely if Trump gets in and acts on some of his suggestions, IMO.
  4. The chances of easy on the eye holding the lead against that front line are slim to none IMO. Smolda will have to drop back and go around them if he doesn't want to be 3 back the markers.
  5. If your a frequent reader of the forum I'm sure you can figure that one out for yourself!!
  6. Is there no trainers association for greyhounds? This is when you would expect your northern training 'mates' to make their voices heard and stand up for you. I believe you have been extremely harshly treated when your animal welfare is clearly your main priority when scratching your whole racing team. It's a sad day for the industry when your punished for doing what you have done. The industry needs more people like yourself!
  7. To be honest I am sick and tired of Gary and Wassa turning these threads into little 13yo girl bitch fights. Get a life you guys and take it to personal messenger!!! Gets so tedious after 5 years+ of reading you two argue. I see $7.5 was still available for Fantastic Sid after the box draws for the semi's. I expect him to qualify for the final and be awfully tough to beat!
  8. So true. The stipes are pathetic when it comes to animal welfare sometimes. So hellbent on that dog bringing in '$xx' amount of turnover. In the thoroughbred code they can late scratch if a track gets downgraded, NZGRA need to take a long hard look at themselves and the way they are policing these diabolical tracks they dish up week after week and month after month.
  9. Who says your the majority not the minority? Maybe you they are listening? I agree premier days should have a maximum of 2 meetings on that dedicated channel... Makes no sense having a channel dedicated to a solo harness meeting on a Thursday night, that is unless you are trying to help people fall asleep from being so farking bored!
  10. But you need the product to be of a standard to bring new punters / owners to the industry. You can't tell me a Thursday night at manawatu trots deserves to have a channel to itself? I would say the same about some of the low grade dog meetings, they are often boring and monotonous. Hong Kong doesn't show there racing to the whole world, they can dictate who shows it, bets on it, and I'm sure one of the conditions is having long lead in / post race coverage. They can do this because they are a racing power house. They can get 100k people to certain meetings, the turnover is astronomical. People WANT to watch it. The majority of compulsive gamblers won't fall by the wayside just because there's too many races, they are back week after week. If there was a solo harness meeting on trackside 1 on a Thursday night and the NZ dogs / Aus racing on trackside 2 what one do you honestly think more people are going to watch and what one will turnover more money? The NZRB is interested in making money, the last thing they need is turnover dropping even more. Supply and demand.
  11. Brodie get out of your little bubble and stop being so damn ignorant. Have you ever sat down on a Sunday night and watched Sha Tin racing and seen how they do things? When you compare it to a Thursday night at manawatu harness, what one would you prefer? •World class pre/post race presenting •Massive pools / turnover •World class administration who are leading the way •Great prize money •Some of the best jockeys in the world • The cleanest racing in the world with the best drug lab It's all there for the NZRB to learn off, I feel some of the coverage on premier days in NZ where they have had trackside 1 to themselves has been outstanding lately, eg NZ cup harness day. They don't make money off the mug punters showing 1 race every 15/30minutes tho. Most punters down the tab gambling have no control, they bet on anything and everything. Without those punters all 3 codes would be struggling more than they are. Racing is a game not many young people could give a damn about, I would know I'm only 24.
  12. You continue making these claims that the harness code is the easiest to follow / the form is easier to read / greyhounds are a lottery yet i still havnt seen you post a tip before a race is run and your too scared to prove it... You also don't bet on the tote so posting your 'bets' before a race is being run won't influence your prices if that's what your worried about. Lol. How about it then champ? $1000 play money to invest per week each on our beloved codes, competition lasting a month. win / place bets, go off the closing tote prices, any bet to be posted 5 min before start time. Nothing to lose if you honestly believe what you type. ( which I'm starting to think you don't )
  13. Well if we are going off the official stipes report he hasn't recieved a stand down, good common sense decision. Connections of the dog and punters both want to see a dog of his quality racing if he's fit and healthy. An absolutely cracking sprinter, if he ever pinged out at Auckland on a decent track I think he can break the track record.
  14. Good to see he didn't get a 28 day stand down, stipes obviously knew the track wasn't safe after all the injuries prior to Yeboah's race. I would like to see the NZ TAB refund all futures bets on the pre post favourite, it's not the punters fault the track was a disgrace. They refunded all bets on a jockey challenge where someone had a 10k bet on Opie, they also refunded bets on Valerie Adams when Ostapchuk tested positive in the Olympics. Do the right thing NZ tab. PS. I didn't have a cent on him.
  15. Has served 7 bitches according to fasttrack. Earliest being the 9th of September. Any reports on the first Dixie Lee litter? I see she had 7 pups and only 2 are named so far, one of them came last in a trial in November and isn't listed with a trainer any more. Is there many Shakey Jakey pups on the ground in NZ? Can't wait to watch them hit the ground here and in Aus! Pretty sure he will throw a few special dogs!
  16. Brodie, over 50% of the turnover on NZ greyhounds is from Australia, if we don't show there racing they won't show ours, it works both ways. I know you said you don't care about market shares in Australia but the dogs have WELL AND TRULY over taken the harness code so don't expect that to change anytime soon. I see your still going on about dog races being lotterys etc etc, yet your too friggen scared to have a week/month punt off against me to prove it? Harness racing form is MUCH more of a lottery than greyhounds and I would love to go you head to head, or shut up and stop making those claims on a weekly basis. Man or mouse Brodie??
  17. Personally I was pretty keen on the $9 about Fantastic Sid before yesterday's heats and after his run yesterday my confidence has only increased, a super run first up in NZ. Pretty confident he would have been to strong for Vikkers if he got across them early yesterday. Obviously Fahey's Kava Blu and Opawa Shackley were mighty impressive and both ran time, both vulnerable if they draw out wide in the semi's / final tho. Couldn't believe crouch was paying single figures to win the final and 2.4 for the heat yesterday, personally thought that was the lay of the year, bookies can't have watched the majority of his runs at Auckland where he clearly doesn't get the 527. Straight into the Golden Easter Egg heats now Wassa?
  18. "YEBOAH (4) was a late scratching at 5.39pm by Stewards at the request of Owner Mr A Potts sighting dissatisfaction with the condition of the track." good or on him as well, after reading the full stipes report its obvious track safety isn't a concern or priority when it comes to the NZGRA... Disgraceful on a big afternoon of racing to dish up something like they did. Embarrassing really.

Yeah your right, individual performances in cricket are FAR more important than in football where you need a decent team, which makes your original comments absurd.
  20. If HFIM wins this then he's an absolute superstar, looks a big risk to me tho. Absolutely cracking race I must admit, the only thing for certain is AOAA leads and won't be handing up. Have Faith In Me 1.48.76 1Q 27.03 2Q 28.09 3Q 26.84 4Q 26.80 Arms of an Angel 1.47.74 1Q 25.23 2Q 28.35 3Q 28.45 4Q 25.71

And if Lionel Messi, Christiano Ronaldo don't win a World Cup their career's will mean diddly squat... Yeah right. The outcome of this test means diddly squat when comparing a legacy of without doubt the greatest captain NZ cricket has ever had, IMO of course. A great leader, batter, competitor who has left the game in far greater shape than when he started. I'm personally gutted he's not playing the T20 World Cup next month but respect his decision, and after yesterday what a way to go out. Thanks for the memories Brendon, I hope you get a couple of champions on the race track as racing definitely needs the likes of yourself. LEGEND.
  22. What dog are you talking about? The one I'm pretty sure is being talked about has never been with Bruce Dann...
  23. That's why they don't have an 8 dog field, nothing to do with the clubs selection policy tho. I'm sure 99% of greyhound 'enthusiasts' would much rather watch 7 decent dogs than another low grade sprint...
  24. Lol maybe you need to go have another read thru this thread Brodie, the % never changes, it seems like you have learnt absolutely nothing from it. It's not rocket science by any stretch of the imagination. It's a parimutuel tote.
