  1. Nigel he has been trolling me for years and I am over it. I just want to say that I wont go into details of who did what to nameless people.
  2. I knew you you jump in and troll me. Yes I encouraged you to join up about 2008. You didnt stick on more than a year. That was a great loss. imagine where we could be now if the Owners Fed could have had the benefit of your genius. No you have 4099 posts on here and who knows how many Curious has had on the other. They didnt get us far although you got your jollies no doubt. There will be no more discourse with you. But as i leave you I suggest you study the NZTR constitution and see where the power lies Then look up the most recent Racing Act and study the industry organisations that are written in that. Then you should be able to work out the previous short-comings of Racing governance and the obvious remedy.
  3. I resent that remark deeply. There is an Owners Fed here that apart for the paid One Admin that has worked tirelessly unpaid since I have been involved. Give me your name WD and I will pay to join you up to your regional association. if you are a bit short I can fix the 60 bucks annual sub for you. You could make a difference! Neil M
  4. There been some player movement at the Wahs of late? Hey Scoobs did you see that subteraenium Sp matting on the core sample. I went Full Screen and Nope cant see.
  5. There you go. You choose an oddity like Caulfield to make a point. That track is a triangle and ridden differently to almost all others. Give us data on Ellerslie with it long sweeping bend for some balance and to prove your argument.
  6. Just an example. The stagger on a 400m athletic track is 7.04m per 1m wide lane. so out in lane 8 it is 49..28m. So if you started in a straight line and are 5 wide to hold a position in a horse race you are flat out or losing ground relative to inside horses. Thats why barrier draws matter especially in sprint races,
  7. This will give Ellerslie haters enough fodder to keep them going for a while. Its an extension of the Jafa thing. The majority of people who live in Auckland were not born there. Thats why they are hated. They left.
  8. Mix – Chubby Checker - Let's Twist Again (lyrics) Bill Haley & His Comets, Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers, Chubby Checker and more Bill Haley & His Comets, Jive Bunny and the Mastermixers, Chubby Checker and more • •.webloc
  9. From the "oblique" phraseology being used it would seem to be a deflection away from a truth, that mistake/s were made. You could say that PW is doing a "Leggy" which is a swerve. Thats a dead rat that CEOs have got to eat to protect the assets when there is a cock up. But it is not the end of the world. Ellerslie will come right. Commiserations to the owners of horses injured. I know of one that has died. Racing is a hard game.
  10. FFS Wilcox was quoted in NZ Herald yesterday as saying 'the matting was on the top level' Page 28
  11. Yes I think I will do the same and not engage with him. He kind of trolls me or at least go contrarian to what I say. A pity. I have taken a keen interest in the track and have been on it shortly after the seed came up. i've be back since as every 3 moths I call in to ATR HQ as part of what I do. I invariably have a look and check out Taiki's rose.
  12. Leggy stop digging ffs. The separation cant be subsurface thats where the mesh is. What is the mesh supposed to do? Shift laterally? You would earn more respect if you conceded when wrong. Just man up!
  13. Leggy Why dont you change you UN moniker to PONTIFF. Clearly infallibility is your gig. You goose!
  14. The weight of sand is about 1700kg per m3. so do the sum Scoobs, doest seem right
  15. Look it is elementary. PW says it's matting on the surface of lush grass, so its the mown grass thats not been harvested. Now there is dead grass thatch and they have put sand on to make it grippy. Hopefully we dont get horses affected by kick back.
  16. Back in the Takanini glory days. You go down Porchester Road now nothing but poor houses.
  17. Mmm, I think they dont want to admit much. I think matting is another word for thatch. If its sub-surface the sward would be coming off.. I know of unhappy Owners that lost a horse from Ellerslie and there may be insurance implications to come
  18. Yes you have nailed it. The problem surely is thatch. The grass seed was heavily fertilised and the growth astonishing right from germination. The problem will be helped when the fertiliser load reduces and a more normal growth pattern occurs. In days gone by sheep was the answer. Get the rakes out?
  19. Thats nice. ATR have heart
  20. Thank You - you are a good man. I am recalling I wrote a story on Ocean Way way back.. He wase was over 30 years old. Went to Patsy' place and took photos. If I can find I will put it up. But I doubt it I used to see Bob at Puke and Ellerslie and say hello. He was a good Counties man.
  21. He was a great rider. Gube I see Bob Fulton died. A top Franklin Clubman that raced homebred horse with his that was brother Mawson F - I think.
  22. Must have been 90+ ?
  23. Turn it around the other way anyone paying a Million is making a hell of a punt. The horse would have to earn over 1.5M to be ahead. There is always the inherent frailty of the modern Tb as well to factor in.
  24. FYI stodgy - PADDINGTON to shuttle to NZ to Windsor Park Stud where Montjeu stood
  25. Leggy shouild put in. He knows all things.
