Go ahead and ban me I dont give a shit - This site is an echo chamber for you and your mates . How dare anyone have a different opinion. It only survives because there aint no competition and much like TAB retail .
-
Spoken like the concreate fence post you are Admin . You are the one ranting and fuming looks like you should find a new hobby .You are never going to get the tracks 100pct there will always be slips and there ALWAYS have been . Some level of risk comes with riding - I never said deaths were OK but they certainly havent come from horses slipping on the outside of bends God knows how yo became Admin probably had to buy your way into it
-
Health and Safety screws everyone yet again, How many jockey deaths in the last 20 years has there been from horses slipping on bends ? - Zero - Horses getting crowded or colliding in the home straight 2 or 3 . Horses have been slipping on bends for decades tho it didnt use to result in abandonment . Riding horses is inherently dangerous you are never going to mitigate all risks -

I dont back horses that are spruiked by trainers on trackside. it usually means no show or getting pulled I had the winner in R8 Matamata but I do have sympathy for the holiday punters who get shafted by the total BS dished up to the audience - Its time to get a real administrator but I guess no one else wanted the job You are limited to repeating the same phrase over and over which no doubt reflects inability to form sentence . You defend screwing the public doob and then the industry wonders why the demographic they chase has no interest in racing
-
No dont know Colin Wightman - I just speak for myself and a few friends who have been following racing for 2 decades and hold the same opinion about some of the abandonments I am sure the chief Stipe takes most of his input from what the jockeys say. . I am not a jockey just an observer but I would be very interested in the opinion from the O Sullivans and old school jockeys on what they think of the current state. Even tho Andrew Scott said his best horse of the day at matamata was Cheaha closing in at $2 running nowhere , the spruik on all the poor holiday punters came off -But then Maybe Scott has no idea about his horses running but Lance would know how to ride what do the old jockeys say ???
-
I dont think administration is for you scooby doooo - God knows how you stumbled into it - But keep the boys club secure from any criticism
-
"Safety is Paramount " Abandonments are up 200pct on 10 years ago but strangley not much change in Saturday Abandonment rate - I wonder why ? Just a coincidence Im Sure You wont need the animal rights crowd to kill your industry - youre doing it yourselves I know 2 owners who have had enough of all the abaonments for the healthy and safety circus and are out Why arent Saturday meets abandoned to the same rate as the this midweeks and No, the correlation is with stake money and not the particular track. Being a jockey carries inherent risks - but at the moment it is being sanitised out of existence.
-
Well you guys have been in the game so long everything is fine and dandy - As an outsider to the "club" I see things differently - So you think trentham on an off track all runners have a reasonable chance - I dont - But keep defending the problems in your club and watch it slowly roll over and die as NZ racing is -
-
They screwed Ellerslie for closers after the upgrade. At least Trentham remains another a failrly useless striaght in the wet with outside runners taking over all middle track runners in final 200. At least its consistent. Is it impossible to give all runners a chance on a nice wide striaght on a metro track that unless you go up the outside in the straight on a heavy track your screwed Of the 100m width only 10 metres is usable in these conditions as usual
-
I never remember as many abandonments as they do they days - Horses have often slipped but that didnt mean pulling the pin in the 80s and 90s ??????
-
And now we cross to Thad at the TAB for some completely irrelevant waffling on prices just to further fool the punters
-
I'm Looking for a list of AEI sire stats that doesn't require a subscription Any Sources?
-
While spelling is beyond most people these days - Cant the racing community at least use 'came' instead of 'come' in every other sentence . - "Yesterday I come to the track .." FFS or is using the simple past too much to ask these days
-
The woke wankers in Victoria - where else - These pricks are in power everywhere - .Next they will ban racing entirely - that is their plan. The gutless management who dont stand up to the political pressure
-
Abandonment after 730 am on the Day - jockeys get $300/ Owners get $300 to $500 compensation - So they make the call at 7:20am when there is no compo due I think
-
So for owners of horses who are mudders and revel in winter racing - might as well give up as the way its going they will ban all winter meets where there has been moderate rain - Arawa park is pumice based - I thought that would drain pretty well - perhaps not
-
No Getting things wrong - Entain has the worst website I have ever come across in terms of lag and layout and only 1 month of results seem to be avaiable NZ was just an add on to their existing offerings on the site Now that virtually all customers bet thru the web you think they could have a webpage that is responsive Where is the server based ? in the milking shed of a Mumbai goat herder
-
No rain for last 2 days then 4 hours of moderate rain overnight and your screwed - Who would've thought it rains in winter. "As always safety is paramount" - RIP NZ Racing
-
Why dont they do a dry run the afternoon before so all the required equipment is on site and working and if not they still have 24 hours to remedy it Radical idea for nz racing but other indusrirs call it a rehersal My sympthathies to the long suffering owners
-
A jockey's mum said her boy might get a chill in the rain is the usual reason - bunch of bedwetters - They Had to come up with a new reason for working from home today Strangely the abandonment rate of Saturday meets is about half that of midweek meets - hmmm what could be the possible reason
-
Saluto misses the kick yet again when the hot fav -
mulebacker replied to mulebacker's topic in Thoroughbred Cafe
I never backed him I Dont often back Favs .But when I see a price crashing on the tote Im always curious on the run and they dont usually disappoint by losing But unlike those in the club I have sympathy for the long suffering punters who get shafted yet again. Of course the game is as honest as the day is long -
He is always a back marker but still can usually jump with the pack unless he is at $3 or $4 fav then for some reason he is last out by 8L - The horse probably reads the tote
-
So the Judge didnt think the jigger affected the outcome of the race - How the F**ck could he tell - and the learned clown must know more than Weir about training horses . So master "Trainer" weir or master cheat Weir has been at it for years stick a cattle prod up his arse and let the public and horses zap him every time he "wins"
-
Would it there be a general trend that horses with a records like 2 wins in 30 starts - R65 types - would have a much narrower range of winning distances than say better stock
-
Turn Ellerslie into Kumara for only $55 million

If Pakstar wants to kick it off have a sledge at me - I will sledge him back, or do the forum rules not apply to the regulars
