Having note of this you would get value out of Well Said over 3 years, Sunshine Beach , two years. By putting your mare each year to your stallion you have shares in , the numbers game would help the stallion move up the sires list.
One stallion that has made an impact would be Shadow Play, He served a full book in America last season, and his numbers were pretty good in Australia. Looking at his first three seasons in NZ , his 4th and 5th seasons have really bucked the trend on the earlier numbers (34 14 17 80 60) as they would not have given him much of a chance . So when looking at the shares if available in a new stallion you could get it at a reasonable rate .eg Sunshine Beach and find later it would be well worth it.
The US generally hold stallion shares in lots of 40, 60 or 120 (Quality of Horse would probably the reason for the size of the numbers of shares as well as money won on track).
