  1. Have you heard back from the Macca team @Taku Umanga? Can supply you with a mobile number as I know they would only be too happy to help.
  2. Might pay to give it a chance @john legend. We are under pressure to cover a variety of topics due to the nature of how we have funded the series. In 24 minute segments theres only so much you can cover, and while the weaning process may not be the most 'riveting' topic, we have received some great feedback today. Particularly from breeders saying their partners and children with little interest in harness racing found it educational. This is what Sheldon had hoped to produce, a series that was more country calendar and watchable to a wide audience as opposed to just the harness nut and same old same old. We take a look at the value stallion options next week around the country, and week after that have a 24 minute exclusive with Paul Bielby who for the first time will discuss the trials and tribulations of having bred Christian Cullen in his late 20's, only to have to sell him due to financial pressures. Other topics to follow include a profile on Brian West, and an ATC special taking a deeper look at their commercial developments and what they are trying to achieve. Can always rely on you for honest feedback so hope we can keep you round for a few weeks yet!

    Mares wanted

Hi, feel free to browse our mares for lease page http://www.harnessracing.co.nz/leasefillies.php you would need to contact owners to see if they interested in leasing mares for that purpose.
  8. The 2011/12 NZSBA Stallion Register is available online at: http://issuu.com/nzsba/docs/2011-12_ssreg?mode=embed No download needed, just simply flick over the pages. Enjoy!
  9. G Unit - the NZSBA writes to every person that stood a stallion in New Zealand during the previous season, inviting them to advertise in the publication. We set the advertising fee at a very competitive level and are flexible to accommodate all budgets. Alas we cannot force stallion owners to advertise, but do our utmost to ensure they are listed in some way. The 2011-12 version will be hitting post boxes in early September and will also be available online via our website. http://www.harnessracing.co.nz. Cheers, Kiely Buttell, Executive Manager, NZSBA
  10. Hi Kay, The NZ Standardbred Breeders' Association has written to Harness Racing Australia registering a strong protest at this proposal. Our submission can be read at http://www.harnessracing.co.nz. If, after the period of consultation which ends next week, HRA proceeds with this proposal NZSBA will be making representations to the government for ministers to intervene with their Australian counterparts. This Import Fee will have a significant impact on our industry reducing the sale of horses to Australia, especially those priced under $20,000. Kiely Buttell, Executive Manager, NZSBA
  11. The results of the NZSBA breeders' survey have been collated and discussed at the recent NZSBA Executive meeting. The results and a plan forward are available on our website http://www.harnessracing.co.nz.
  12. and will send out an email alert for you.
