Especially with the AWOL Bruce Sharrock in control! Maybe he's been over in Australia striking up a deal [with the outgoing] because we all know that Andrew Jones has been gone for weeks! You cant beat the man with the Red and White Stripes!

I am not sticking up for the news on either channel, but I really think that main stream news outlets think that jockeys are 'only the passenger' and the horse is the real hero therefore the jockey's success is irrelevant. Add to that, the silent majority are starting to believe that any horse in competition is there against it's will, so should be banned. [Just saying....not agreeing]

Mainstream media has no interest in racing. The only reason there are “stories” in the Herald are because NZME is pocketing six-figures to do so.

I was in England early 70s so just missed that one however the world has moved on . Quote , After more than 20 years, the 'mad cow' blood donation restriction will be removed on 29 February. Now where else am I mad , covid jabs? , flu jab ? or forking out for a possible/probable (maybe) life extender , it seems likely tomorrow is decision time on that one , if after the first scans and tests I am confirmed as a candidate then it's spend $35k to see if it works, if it proves to be working then front up for round 2 , fortunately I have made a few $s on the horses over the years so I don't have to cash up assets , interesting times for me . -
Bottom line nothing changes till next election, or doesn't, just don't see the point and the polls, are irrelevant. Just my thoughts, shar

The above post is 'copy and pasted' from an email that I recieved tonight. At least he realises the SHIT that they are in, unlike the skinhead church going idiot. Bring back the Government for the people...please.

http://assets.nationbuilder.com/themes/65a733608e2ea0043bde459d/attachments/original/1712279184/generic-header.png?1712279184 Dear Liz, Some Governments get a honeymoon from the media, others get an inflation hangover. Tonight’s 1News Verian poll shows the latter, with all governing parties down, and Labour 30% , Green 14%, Māori 4% out in front of ACT 7%, National 36%, NZF 4%. People are understandably upset about the cost of living, interest rates, and soft economy. We don’t just see that, we feel it. Here’s the risk: If enough voters punish this Government for the inflation and debt of the last one, New Zealand will get the bad medicine back. By the time people finally realise it doesn’t work, it will be too late. What’s become clear today is that Labour, who should be banished, could be back. And back with two very bad sidekicks. Every day in Government, ACT is taking the necessary steps to clean up Labour's mess. And our team is working towards 2026 to make sure your voice and values are represented, but we can’t do it without you. Donate now to help us reach past the media and talk directly to people like you. Just $50 can help spread our message to 5000 more voters like you. You put ACT in the Beehive and day by day, we are dealing to the waste, red tape, and discrimination left by consecutive governments. ACT’s MPs are working hard for you so you can make a difference in your own life.

Scooby, I would like to direct all of my collect back into your prize pool. The level of enjoyment I get from your competitions far exceeds the dividend from my bet.

The highlight of my sporting career was playing a curtain raiser , aged 14 , at Athletic park for a Ranfurly Shield game , they were hanging off the rafters . Not anymore , like racing they took it for granted that people will always turn up , WRONG .

Interestingly, on the sports news on 3 tonight, the lead story was about an ex NZer winning a car race in the US. Not all that relevant to many NZers I would have thought. I waited in case they mentioned an ex NZ jockey winning a major horse race in HK. Surprisingly no mention of that story at all. It always surprises that that some sports are considered more relevant than others. -
And how many wanted a run but didn't get one as they limit them to 30 heats .

It's all over for the coilition in my opinion. The polls are saying it tonight. I publicly stated 2 or 3 weeks ago that they were "toast", well actually "burnt toast"

Are you mad? Maybe you spent time in England in the 80's and got that "Mad Cow Disease"

Isn't funny how things go? Rugby, the interest has gone, dissapeared. No sex until marrage, that's gone. Well let me tell you that Sky TV has to be in deep shit too. They survived on people paying for sport but they don't want to pay anymore! The Warriers are useless this year. There is no cyling of any consquence being shown other than [hopefully] the Tour de France. Trackside has gone to Freeview and sex is available for free, simply if you google it. See what I mean?

Waipa Trials tomorrow. 30 Heats. 250 entries- must be a record number ever for a Trial day. Patently clear that trainers want trials on grass not synthetic surfaces.

It would be interesting to see what happened if they let Timaru run a grass track meeting this week. -
