That time of the year for the babies to make their debut at The Park and usual stables turning up with the exception of the Cullen team. 12 Colts lining up and 7 fillies in other race. From what i have observed at the trials Barry Purdon's pair look to have plenty of ability and will get me if the prices are right.

In a similar vein a B Norman trained trotter won a 2yr   Wyndham  workout beating the pacers. You would not see that very often

With basically the first lot of 2yo races  starting out now why don’t hrnz change the season to a calendar year . As it stands now 2yos really only have half a year of the their season and even then the feilds are generally small as not many are ready by then

Yeah!    So far they have just been concentrating on education & qualifying and finishing their workouts "together".     You have to look at Argyle simply because it's drawn the ace

Argyle given every chance but well beaten by Cran's baby . Not a bad time either and Artisan was simply too good for the fillies albeit in a slower time

Next 2 yo races scheduled for north at Auckland 5th Feb.    Draws will come into play of course.     As I said they just educating at workouts - Crans horse at wouts last week was unplaced to Ohoka Creed, come racenight and  placings reversed.      Before races last night Josh qualified an Art Major colt in a 2 minute and change mile rate.   Will this horse come into calculations?

Artisan did win at workouts the week before.    She's a nice filly.
