DIZZY 11 Report post Posted July 15, 2013 Hey Folks, I’m looking at compiling a list of names given to horses or greyhounds that have pushed the boundaries a little, and was hoping for some help. Basically, it’s the names which have slipped through the cracks and made it to the races and especially those which have caused the odd commentator a headache or two. Examples include, Sea Sells Sea Shells, Swisswristwatch, Ask Bandit, Anita Pea etc. Any/all examples offered up will be gratefully received. Robbie Fowler had a horse in the UK called amazingly, Another Horse....imagine the caller with that one when it hit the front...!! fermoy 226 Report post Posted July 16, 2013 in 1998 a mare called " tulsy tsan" was late scratched on the morning of its debut race at trentham when the racing conference realised or were alerted to the fact that it spelt " nasty slut" backwards.came out and raced a week or so later with the new name of "ben again". fermoy 226 Report post Posted July 17, 2013 a few weeks ago up north i heard george simon calling a race on the radio and was calling a horse "whore house".i checked the newspaper i had with me and it was spelt totally differently,but obviously george must have checked with the connections that that was how it should be pronounced.hahaha,i was cracking up.classic.can anyone recall how the horses name was spelt?
