oh yes vintage NZTR logic , they have this wonderful ratings system but when it comes to the major races in NZ they come up a brilliant idea to avoid using the ratings . Having a whole pile of penalty free races for the Auckland and Wellington Cups inevitably ensures that the handicapping is nonsensical.

The idea that NZTR are to wait yet another 2 to 5 months before making a decision on the viability of Berri's cunning plan just confirms how stupid and incompetent their leadership is.

I simply dislike conmen who promise the racing industry vast sums of money and deliver nothing as per Berri's Raceo . Now we have Berri once again delivering nothing so far after nearly 2 years work . Worse we have Barryb offer a working solution yet ignored because the Berris system is preferred by NZTR . All we get from Berri is his grandiose schemes and his bitter twisted vindictive attacks on people who dare ask how progress is.

yes but Trackus at Moonee Valley and Caulfield will be up and running long before your system even has the go ahead Berri from NZTR. who cares how much turnover they do , they are the only gambling i know of that includes turnover in their accounts as the gross figures . the others all report the net of divs. this year turnover was up more than 6% yet net turnover others report as turnover was down. It is this punters losses figure that is the only one that has relevance. I suspect that the turnover is used to justify the massive salaries and excessive staff levels. Hard to believe a National government allows this old boys club to blunder on wasting tens of millions with a monopoly in NZ

We revisited the issue after about a year and predictably we got a whole load of excuses from you . So now more than 18 months later we still have nothing. You may recall that I did ask you /NZTR how much was being paid and what was the timeframe for this project . I am sure everyone will understand my concerns have been realised well and truly now. I am sick of NZRB and NZTR entering into agreements without any meaningful analysis with the inevitable result. The conversation with Bayliss must have been a classic and your thoughts on the $10 ticket just confirming how out of touch with the customers you both are . Remarkably you are both 20 years behind the times seeing lotto as a competitor when in fact the casinos and pokies are far more popular because they offer lots of returns even if they are small. Its not his money is the problem chelseacol, it is industry money. If he invested his own money and came up with a product for NZTR to buy then I am sure no one would have an issue with this. It is the incessant grandiose promises followed by inevitable failures that makes people wonder what lunacy convinced NZTR to engage him/his company in this initiative . Mate you register a company in Costa Rica , you operate out of an Indian reservation in the middle of Canada and you think you have credibility . Clearly you don't know Berri as well as some of us do. Regardless of his international expertise he does have a record of promising the world and delivering a ping pong ball. I think we all know how important sectional information is , which is why we were alarmed that after more than 18 months of work on this project Moncur was talking about 3 to 6 months before they will actually make a decision on the viability of Berri's work. . Aside from attacking the people who have expressed this concerns at the progress and the seemingly lassez faire approach from moncur Berri's explanation seems to be somewhat different from Moncur's . This he hasn't addressed. I am sure we all hope Berri is correct and we will have a credible reliable product
