True Jamie that’s right been doing it for a long time , why is that ? Now I wasn’t there yesterday but there hasn’t been dogs hitting there head for a long time so I’m surprised it happened I can see how it would happen.why does the lure fly past ? Now I was told by the lure driver in the wet he needed a longer run up as he has been losing traction maybe this is true or maybe he had been losing power at that very spot all along who would know. All I no is it’s a great track I enjoy all venues just want like everyone else things to go along smoothly.

Did I say anything about dogs not going any good down there ? No . clubs fault meeting should have been gone after race 1 . Now we can argue till we are blue in the face but facts are facts club was not up to scratch on the day.say all the traveling trainers that were there today didn’t put dogs in for your next meeting would you be able to field a race or a card ?

And well done to there trainers done a fantastic job , it also takes having a bit of faith and traveling with your dog to produce the best so well done ! Last post as I don’t think anything will be done these dogs raced on Monday said on trackside they all were injured after there race and put into fields on Wednesday for the Tuesday meeting

Why would he get a fine ? And yes I read the report . Like I says I don’t have a problem with the dogs being out but what I’m asking is why are they in fields for Tuesday ? It was said on trackside they will be out for some time due to injuries so why were they put in fields

Just while I’m on here I don’t think there is anything wrong unfortunately these dogs must have picked up injuries I hear Roso saying on Friday night they will be out for some time , these things happen no ones fault they had numbers 9 and 10 . But a couple are in fields for Tuesday ?

I see what your saying and agree but I don’t agree with that fact they have to pay, and by this the point I’m making we should want people taking greyhounds over any other breed we must make it attractive. If people are vetted and put on a list greyhounds will be easy to track , offer the support etc and it may work . Atm the owner and the new owner pay plus the grnz put up funds and we are still getting nowhere, I’m big in the boarding kennel idea just wish they would try it they don’t have to go all our just put a couple here and there .the problem is too many are taking from the top with tunnel vision .

Maybe just maybe the problem isn’t importing or over breeding ... maybe the problem is re homing ? Take a state in Aussie do they re home more or less than us ??? How well do we really do ? Why don’t grnz give the lps the details of gap workings? Records etc . Now I don’t have all the details but I’d say in the last 2-3 years more slower dogs have kept racing have not been put down or re homes take a look at the amount of c1s racing around now that would never have got a start 5 years ago . There is also less imports since there was a cap of 20 a month put in . There is less breeding as cost rise , yes bigger breeders are still breeding but smaller ones are not. Just an idea why have a gap set up ? Why not have a manager overseeing the whole op and put 2 ,3,5 kennels in every boarding kennel in nz and pay to get them done . Get sponsorship and give the greyhound away free to a good home .

Just a side note how many owners trainers and breeders would be where they are now without imports ?? I kinda get what your saying and agree to a point . Why can’t the nz dog sell for a fair price ? Because the cost of the dog from point a to b is so high ? The return is not strong over 3 years ? I don’t agree with not letting imports in group races they are and always will be the best of the best ,and one always needs to aim high. But there could be more nz bred races for bigger prize money , take nzrs races if you didn’t bred the dog you are in fact racing for less stake in most cases . There is plenty to be done and could be done , almost all ideas have merit and come from a great place . If we get a yes man/ or woman we won’t last the next 5 years. Total control needs to be put back together starting with input from the clubs with the voice of there members ... the clock is ticking people if the rule goes thru on the 1st of feb we are in deep water with a strong anchor .

So if when this comes in what are we going to have more of ? No chasers what will happen to them ? Sad thing is we are shutting our selfs down can’t blame anyone else . Now the clubs all voted for this give the power to the Nzgra look where we are now .... how can we go forward vote the board out. It’s the only way I see us getting anywhere

If they didn’t make a profit then they wouldn’t be doing it ? Plenty of dogs go north to other kennels and the same could be said . Just like plenty of imports come over and don’t make the grade.

Can you explain that mini jax ? If you have a form dog it will get a start in front of any other if it’s in a small or big kennel ? And has the same chance as any to win . To be fair you only get out what you put in , and I’d say well done to all it’s a very trying game

So gap has rehomed all the dogs that has passed there tests ? You say once I pay the fee the dog is no longer mine ? So I have no say ? I didn’t say GRNZ . I just asked why do the people that want to take the dog as a pet have to pay ? To give as many greyhounds good homes why not give them to the people for free ?

Ok fair call but if it’s not rejected ? It’s a pass but no one wants them ? Why is there a cost to the people that want them as pets ? In Oz it’s free is that right ? And no it has not always been down to the owner but it’s not my place to get into that on here as it’s wasnt my dog .
