  1. H2H: Milseian vs Treasure What do you reckon John?
  2. Good luck.
  3. worth a bet at $4?

  5. Has struck a very strong field and from the 13 barrier I can't see him winning this. I'll be watching Waller's Kaonic, my AJC Derby bet. May be too short and will be better for the run, but should be running on strongly at the finish.
  6. Cheers Brian - I understand your point. ps. my magnificent 7 comment was a little bit tongue in cheek - less than half of them have winning records
  7. Interesting statement skipper. More often than not I pick after my opponent (because I like to see track conditions, scratchings, etc..) and on many occasions I will have 10 or more picks the same as my opponent. I tend to follow form and therefore don't often pick outside the first 4 or so favourites in a race. Picking second against someone who does likewise means I will often have a number of picks in common. I don't deliberately change my picks to have less in common (unless I've breached Peter's limit). I personally don't consider this is "negative" and I certainly wouldn't label it "taking opponents pix". If the person who picked second couldn't take their opponents picks then the first picker would have a huge advantage. I think Peter has set a very fair limit (6 different) - doesn't give either first player or second player advantage. Anyway back to my study - still trying to break into the Magnifcent 7.
  8. She certainly is! Watched the replays of last week's races and I believe she will win. Dog inside her will be slightly slow away. Dog outside looks like it runs away from the rail so she should have plenty of space. Better than a $2.20 chance.
  9. Don't despair we'll come through in Race 3 I heard Stephen Marsh on Trackside Radio saying that Rube Bridges was the unluckiest horse in his stable. Don't know about unlucky but certainly one of the most over-rated.
  10. let's go again with the can't really decide theme
  11. Yeah will probably bite me but I thought he was too short, and I'm a fan of the two I've picked. Tend to avoid backing horses who've had issues when they are that short. Chances are he will win but I won't risk it. Wrinkles didn't pick Julius either so that helped my decision a bit - remember, despite many peoples' fascination with dollars earned, this is after all a H2H competition Good luck today!

  18. Race 3 Silver Cloud - Place Race 8 He's A Freak - Win Thank you Chelseacol
  19. Ha ha Howie, there's a reason that match-up is at the bottom of Peter's post. It's like saying I'm looking forward to the match-up between say Jonny Evans (West Brom) and Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace), when Manchester City and Liverpool are playing on the same day.
  20. Very brave tipping against one of Ted's best bets Thanks Ted for helping our price
