Nasrullah 180 Report post Posted November 11, 2015 Danzig over Danzig is very poor...... a D on Truenicks. Danzig sireline stallion over non Danzig lines mares has performed better. Non Danzig sireline stallion over Danzig line mares has performed better. Danzig over Danzig....... a poor mating
Swynford 121 Report post Posted November 12, 2015 Agree with those stats. And I think if we looked at all sire lines (same one for both stallion and mare ) we would find the results the same, very poor. However it only takes in a part of the pedigree and we need to look deeper. If it was the only thing I saw in a yearling it wouldn't interest me. But when it is seen in a pedigree like the pedigree below I think it is a HUGE plus.
Swynford 121 Report post Posted November 12, 2015 I am guessing but I'm sure the Sir Tristram sire line stats e.g. stallion and mare both the same like the pedigree below are very poor. But when there are other strong connections through the dams lower in the pedigree like the exceptional Zabeel/Vice Regal connection here I like it and I think it is an important contributor.
