I just looked at the quaddie,it paid double what an all up bet would have paid,I think I ma do some research for the best way to bet

Thanks for cheering me up,I will be betting at fixed or all up in future,you are right doubles betting is now a thing of the past.

I just got the 1st double at Awapuni ($87.30) & just compared with fixed & tote odds on the winners.The difference was the tote double (including the concession) paid 50% less than the other 2 on all up or fixed ($258 for all up & $312 for fixed),why the huge difference????.Can you experts explain as this happens very often.

The big difference between Aussie & NZ coverage is comments from the bird cage,nz nothing Aussie plenty especially from the ladies.With a big meeting with all fresh up runners surely there should have been some kind of comments coverage,nope just the normal rubbish .chat between presenters,totally bloody awful.

I have just read an article so is this true.Racing stakes are $50 million,costs to run the RIB is greater than that,more people employed with big money wages.Is this jobs for the boys & bugger the racing industry.

Amazing,one of the biggest races world wide but no free tv coverage,time to sell off the main tv channels & tab put the racing back on free tv.Bloody useless service.

I usually do not put"pen to paper" but today is an exception.The last race on the card is usually called "the get out stakes" as punters try to win their money back.But the trend midweek seems to be put a rubbish race on last as today at Te Aroha.I usually do a Quinella,Trifecta,1st 4 & an each way as the odds are usually better but not on a 1200m maiden crap race.So today no bet on the last race.Who schedules the races as they obviously know nothing about punters & betting (the ones who are ignored but keep racing alive).There rarely was a maiden race as the last race in the past so why the switch now. Now I got an email from TAB yesterday saying if I deposit $100+ in my account I will get a $50 free bet which will appear in 5 minutes.Well which 5 minutes was that as I am still waiting from yesterday or have they run out of money & I have given them plenty recently.

The TAB result for race 7 at avondale gives the winner paying $7,402.50,hope I get the 2nd leg up.

Just watched race 6 from Ellerslie.Why was the winner only put back to 2nd when 3rd & 4th were also interfered with & could have won.That result stinks. (it only cost me $6) but I feel sorry for 3rd & 4th.

Why are the RIB scheduling meetings on these tracks with no watering facilities during the Summer months..About time the Govt looked into how much revenue they have lost in the last 12 months because of incompetent people (not just horse racing),we used to be the land of plenty now we are the land of idiots in charge.Sad!!! did you know our overseas debt was 4 billion 9 years ago & its now 40 billion,I wonder why???

Anyone got the pools for the doubles legs at Wanganui & compare the pools for races 2/3 & 6/7 with races 4/5 because the payout was small compared with the all up payment.I got the all up in a poker paid $157 but also got the double which paid $44 a huge difference. PS I did not get another with the 2 I got.

1 gallops meeting in deep South,1 NI meeting,grass harness,have I got my dates wrong???? is it Easter.Who schedules the race meetings these days as he/she has not got a clue or do the trainers not want to race their horses on holidays.The premier race meeting of the day,Riverton.Is racing deliberately being killed off here,sure looks like it.

Myers did not win the Waverley cup,Why???.He only had 1 horse in it & that was favourite.

I was perusing my Best Bets when an ad for the TAB caught my eye.$40,000 guaranteed pick 6.Hang on though,if the pool exceeds 40,000 then the TAB has contributes nothing.If the TAB wants to foster their pools then it should be a $40,000 starting pool then they do contribute.I wonder how many punters (small ones) realize that its a con by the TAB,they must contribute very little to these guaranteed pools. +++++ $40,000 is also a joke for one of the major meetings of the year.

6 in 8 days for northern racing,6 races that is!!!! & racing is taking off,Yes to Oz..In what season of the year do most people go to the races,clue not Winter. (or the 2 either side).

Wow !!! there are people out there who think like me.The country "God's own" is run by amatuers,Overseas "experts" with no expertise at all except experts in getting soft,overpaid jobs in NZ (their own country does not want them) or Varsity grads who are indoctrinated by varsity that they are very clever & know better than anybody else & anybody that has not been to Unie is as thick as a plank.I have worked with many of those ,some cannot spell 4 letter words or add 2 numbers together without a calculator.Some are now CEO's.

Why,this week,have we 1 gallops meeting in a 5 day period.Have we run out of horses,maybe everybody takes their holidays over Xmas/New year so there is no one on holiday.With 2 abandoned meetings ,Thames & Stratford why were they not rescheduled for this week.The Harness & Dog boys must be laughing their heads off.

What we need is 3 allweather tracks,expensive,yes,but will show a healthy profit in a few years,in the North Taupo & Woodville & a central track in the South would be ideal,racing all year round with no abandonment,but maybe that is too complex for the powers that be & far too complex for the racing minister who ever the lame duck is.

I am watching trackside preview an Aussie meeting that was abandoned hours ago.What kind of Amatuers are running this channel & also why are 2 reasonable Aussie meetings not even being shown and why is the TAB taking betting on those meetings.,where is the wall to wall racing we were promised or is that just for night time.

If you pick 30%+ winners or 70%+ placegetters you should be making a profit.For EW betting your place bet should be at least 4 times higher then the win bet.I also do place poker 3's the odd poker 4 but never higher.Win pokers are for the real gamblers only.,but big returns for a small outlay are quite possible. Ignore ALL maiden races up to 1200m with unraced horses in them,you cannot assess the form of an unraced horse. If its raining on the day go to the movies DO NOT bet. Front runners track,where was the fancied horses in races 6 & 7.At the back (as usual).And I am not talking because I am losing.my NZ bets are 50c pokers,give me Aussie races at least most of the jocks (or trainers have brains).

A presenter at Taranaki has just criticised riding in a race ( not before time) well done,about time we has some honest opinions instead of glossing over the rubbish riding we see every day.There are a lot of David Walkers out there usually male senior jocks.
