    Black Caps

I see NZ all out for 150.Mind you, was listening to australian captain Michael Clark and he said he felt a bit sorry for nz captain Ross Taylor as the wicket was a bowlers wicket being still green and slightly wet and he would not have batted on it if he won the toss(which he did).I see australia 1 for 20 when play abandoned for the day due to the weather.Should be interesting to see what happens tomorrow. Cheers Archie

    John Key?

Opo, for your info I have actually lived with the americans so have had some experience, more than some who post on here. When you live and serve with them for a while you will realise what i mean,I dont have to read articles to make up my mind. Cheers Archie

    John Key?

Teletubby, I learnt long ago, anything the yanks say, you divide it by 50% and only believe half of the result thats left. Remember, if it comes from the USA it MUST BE RIGHT !! Cheers Archie

    Title Fight

Christ, has the smell of Mundine all over it again.Wouldnt waste my money watching it. Cheers Archie
  7. Watched the game and in all fairness, Federer gave him an old fashioned "hiding" and never really let him into the game at any stage. Wont say it will happen every time but did this time. Cheers Archie
  8. Just wondering what is happening in that home town of mine!! Following it all in the papers and on the tv up here in the north.Used to play all around that area in my younger days. Hope they catch the dork fairly soon before the locals get him first. Cheers Archie

    Chardanae

Yes, another was Fast Turnover who started well over in Aussie, West Aussie and then the east coast and had about five or six wins but has appeared to have dropped off the scene.Anyone over there know what could have happened to him.Ewart Dawson (down south) had him here in New Zealand and sold him to Aussie. Just wondering what has happened to him. Cheers Archie
  11. Yep, until he does it again that is !! Cheers Archie
  12. I thought politicians were more of the contorinist variety- can't lie straight in bed !! Cheers Archie
  13. I seem to recall Helen Clark doing exactly same thing during her term of office but cannot remember the reason for her storming out ! In fact seem to remember she did it more than once.Goff had better watch out or I will remember what it was she stormed out for !! Cheers Archie
  14. What a bloody pathetic lot you are. What Steve williams has said this time is exactly what two other golfers said the other day but its big news because williams has said it as well. Another golfer and commentator also predicted woods would not win the australian open as he would blow a round of the tournament and was not consistent enough, and what happened, exactly that.Who was that-Ian Baker finch and he was spot on - did not hear any bleatings then did I ?? Still, I suppose you have to have something to moan about I suppose. Cheers and have a good night Archie

    Cyclists

Interesting comments.I live in Papakura and on a road where it is not uncommon to get something like 20 or 30 cyclists , sometimes riding four and five abreast taking up the road. They ride the circuit Papakura-Ardmore-Alfriston,mainly on weekends and even during weekdays when weather is good. Several times I have approached them from behind, and toot thehorn to let them know Im there and get the "fingers" in return. Wont tell you my thoughts on them. Cheers Archie

    Libya

I think they may have more sense than doing that. Cheers Archie
  17. Perhaps he did say the wrong thing at the wrong time but in this instance, the americans are the biggest hypocrites unhung.I served for several months with their armed forces and you should have heard what they call mexicans, puerto ricians etc etc, what williams said isnothing compared to their comments, and I include both white and black americans in my comments. Now you know why I take their bleatings with a "grain of salt". Cheers Archie
  18. Opo, dont normally sling things but his time you are a bloody dork!!! Just for your info I am not voting key or his party this time and obviously you cannot have an objective view of things , not seeing you are involved with his family connections etc etc. Its getting to the point of maybe voting for "cant lie straight in bed" winston !! Colin Craig is not the only one working those type of hours either, and remember he chose to !! You also have a good day Cheers Archie
  19. bblunt, perhaps because Mehterns has more popularity than the prime minister that he is noticed more, would not surprise me in the least. Cheers Archie
  20. I voted for this chap when he stood for the mayor of Auckland city, self made busianess man, but will not be voting for his party this time unfortunately. Reason. Tried to contact him to ask about some of his policies and was told quite bluntly "you cannot talk direct to him, go through his party secretary"!! as he does not have the time. I told them that if he does not have the time then neither do I to vote for him,as I like my answers from the "horses mouth"so to speak.hence my decision. Cheers Archie

    Russell Packer

What a load of codswallop of Ive read on here about this "incident". OK, maybe it was a cheap shot but how many times have you seen the same thing done by an aussie on a kiwi and because there was a test game looming, and the aussie was required for a kangaroo slot, hello, all of a sudden it was an "accident" and no punishment warranted, seen it too many times over the years.Grow up people. Cheers Archie

    John Street

Mind you, its his choice and he does own Pak N Save, Lincoln Road, Henderson in Auckland,I shop there occassionally. Personally, prefer the standing start 3200 metres. Cheers Archie
  23. Good lobster I will answer you with a question as you suggest. If the O'driscoll tackle fitted the same bill, then yes , a red card. I wonder if they still have a tape of that tackle. I also see the ausse press is very silent, after their "All Blacks will choke against the aussies!!" headlines I was reading there a day or so ago. Cheers Archie
  24. I suggest all these people who say it should be a yellow card, get a copy of the rule book and look at rule 104 g.(i and ii). Clearly states what is a mandatory RED CARD and that tackle fitted the bill to the tee,and if you have a look at the replay the frenchmans head hit the ground first and then his shoulders , so dont see what the problem is, red card material, clear and simple. Cheers Archie
