Opo 182 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 And yet another bl00dy 'maori advisory ........', no doubt paid for by the NZ taxpayer? Small step from here to gain control of the 'Flora & Fauna' of NZ! "Recommendations to provide protection include setting up a Maori advisory committee to work with the Commissioners of Patents and of Plant Variety Rights. The commissioners would also have the power to refuse patents that unduly interfere with relationships between "kaitiaki [Maori] and taonga". http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10735583

[urlhttp] "provide protection" geez that brings a smile to the face. If something moved or was remotely edible, then it was killed,or dug up and eaten, the Maoris do not deserve any special say in anything or any special treatment, because they are no more special than anyone else in New Zealand, and they, like the rest of us,are lucky to be living here. DC7 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2011 I read that article. It's not even rational, what a lot of drivel. What happened to the moa? Isn't it rich that they now claim some sort of guardianship and protection over fauna that they were merrily destroying into extinction before the evil 'Pakeha' arrived. Stop indulging this pisstaking in the media and stop turning this country into a joke. Politicians should be shot for letting this sort of nonsense get out of hand. DC7 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2011 'Registrar of the Haka'? Another nail in the coffin of this country. How many otherwise useless people would that employ at the country's expense, in order to produce.....nothing. A bout time the ABs stopped performing thr haka, anyway. DC7 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2011 Maori and the Crown to have shared management of endangered species? All costs NOT shared though, just increased unnecessarily, due to the need to employ more Maoris to share in the management. Not ACTUAL management, though. DC7 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2011 * Maori health is in crisis. Urgent action needed. Expand health system to include rongoa (traditional healing) services. ' Alternatively, ban cigarettes and reintroduce the laws that made it an offence to supply liquor to a native.
DC7 1 Report post Posted July 2, 2011 * Amend Crown strategy for engagement with Maori on international treaties to require engagement over both binding and non-binding instruments.' There's another 50 racially selected civil servants that will boost sales of red tape and produce ....nothing.

The only endangered species is likely to be Maori,if this nonsense carrys on. A brick wall and 10 loaded muskets comes to mind. Most maori's don't bother to look after their health and ignore the dangers of dugs and alcohol when advised. Why the hell should one cent of taxes help people who are not interested in helping themselves.Any traditional medicines they want, are mostly free to pick off plants etc,but again they are too bloody lazy to go and get it.Next they will be moaning about their numbers in prisons? DC7 1 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 How long before the "quarter bred equine animal" comes on here, with another "stage name" - he must be having a thousand fits trying to resist the temptation. He said his 'work is done here'. Which is quite true, because I don't think he does any anywhere else.

If your parents dont teach you healthy diet/eating habits how the hell are the children going to adopt them......very much a generational thing. Decent healthy eating/cooking with all the support and literature we get in papers, magazines and even The Countdown Man on TV showing easy to prepare budget healthy meals is within arms reach...but for many that is too far.
